Summary: This is not what I expected from TIMEX. Got this watch today and when I pulled out the stem to set date and time, the whole stem came out of the watch. It was also hard to grab the stem to even pull it out. It was so recessed that it became a chore pulling it out. At one time TIMEX was very good quality. I did not pay much for this watch, maybe that should have been my first clue. Oh well, live and learn.
Summary: Great watch, hardy construction, love the color, does its job well. My only gripe about this product is the loud ticking noise it makes. I have to stack a pile of clothing on top of the watch at night just to get muffle the noise. Otherwise, a product worth it's cost!
Summary: I had owned a similar model of Timex watch for over 10 years that kept perfect time. It would still be going strong had it not been for an overzealous, yet utterly incompetent repairman's attempt to change the battery. At any rate, I bought this one new, sight unseen with full faith and trust in the Timex brand.
Summary: I bought this watch to use as my all purpose "beater". I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews that stated the ticking was too loud and the band was scratchy. I've found this watch to be great!! I can hear the ticking if I hold the watch up to my ear, otherwise I can't hear it at all. The band did have a very small bit of glue that had leaked out from in between the seams but a couple of passes with a small file and that issue was resolved.
Summary: I was looking for an inexpensive watch to wear to the pool and while doing work around the house. Pros- easy to read, nice size for smaller wrists, classic style Cons- as pointed out in other reviews- loud and rough craftsmanship on band. I took my wife's emery board to the jagged points and it was fine. For twenty-six dollars I thought it was a great watch.
Summary: I previously owned a timex expedition and it ran beautifully for 6 years under daily work conditions. I was pleased to find the same style and model that I had and can only hope to have a similar experience.
Summary: THE WATCH WAS WHAT I EXPECTED. INEXPENSIVE. EASY TO READ,NO BELLS OR WHISTLES. JUST WHAT I WANTED FOR YARD WORK. BUT. THE BAND WAS WAY TOO SHORT TO FIT MY WRIST. MY WRIST IS 7 1/2 INCHES AROUND. THAT IS A SMALL WRIST. THE WATCH BAND BARELY MADE IT AROUND THE WRIST. WHEN IT WAS BUCKLED THE BAND WOULD NOT FIT INTO THE LOOP TO HOLD IT IN PLACE(TOO SHORT) I FIGURED SINCE THE WATCH WAS MADE IN CHINA THEY USED THEIR WRIST SIZES TO SIZE THE BAND.
Summary: I work in an enviorment where they use military time like 16:30. So the extra numbers really help me. I can go through airport detectors wearing this watch and not set off the alarms. The watch crystal got scratched. It seems like it will scratch easily but then I work in an extremely harsh enviorment, with very high temperatures. The real test for this watch will be the summer time temperatures over 130 degrees.
Summary: This watch fit the bill perfectly... for about two weeks. The adjustment knob tapped against a table and popped right out of the watch. Timex watches used to be made fairly well, I had my last one for about 12 years before it need replacing. Apparently, that time has come to an end.
