Summary: I had the Timex Expedition watch with a velcro strap for years that looked good and held up to all kinds of conditions before I lost it and wanted another, but they don't sell that particular model anymore so I ordered this one. Out of the box it's anther great Timex watch for a great price.
Summary: I picked this up as a replacement for my $10 WalMart chronograph that I was using to track my swimming lap times until the buttons fell off. Definitely worth the extra $30. I have a small wrist and the bezel size looks perfect on mine and the face is very readable. The case is a little thicker than my other Chronograph, but still very comfortable. The only quirk I found was the velcro strap would catch on my golf shirts.
Summary: For thirty four bux, I got myself a 200 meter waterproof, shock-proof ironman triathlon watch. Nowhere else can you get this build quality for such a low price. I considered getting a heart rate monitor, but decided that to use it the way you want to use it, you've got to wear the chest-strap which seems really cumbersome to me. GPS would have been nice, but widely available internet mapping sites can help with a lot of that info if you just bother looking at it.
Summary: I've used this watch for all types of activities with no problems at all. For example, wore it in the sea when snorkelling in Cambodia, taken part in military assault courses with it, and used it regularly on runs in all conditions. It's not the most fashionable watch, but still looks like new after all the punishment I've put it through.
Summary: Nice watch with one very bad flaw. There is insuficient velcro on the strap. I actully lost this watch twice whilst in the sea messing around in waves. The second time I couldn't find it so it's gone forever, a shame as I really liked it. The velcro tends to pull apart easily and as the was only just over an inch of the 'hooked material' to fasten it with.
