Light failed after six months
5 October 2014
Summary: I've had five or six timex ironman watches. Normally I get around two years wear before the strap fails. In the old days you could replace the strap but now it's integrated into the watch so much you can't and have to but a new one. I've been happy to live with that but on this watch the backlight has failed after six months. It's a bit smaller than I expected too. If you're a bloke this watch will be too small even if you're not very big.
Summary: This is the third of these watches I have bought. The features are exactly what I need and the size of the watch is suitable for my little wrist. I don't use it for running (Garmin 305 does that job). I like the interval timer, very handy for home gym work. I also use it first thing in the morning to time a minute, as I count my resting heart rate.
Summary: This is my 4thTimex Ironman sleek watch; 1st lasted for years, but unfortunately the next two did not. Timex has now slightly changed the design to improve (?) the watch attachement to the wrist band (which twice lead to the loss of the watch unit from the wristband). The watch has all the functions one wants/needs for a sports watch, and is not too bulky even for petite wrists. Overall great functionality if you do not want/need HR or pace data.
