Summary: I have been a Timex fan and user for over 50 years. However, I was dubious about the solar functionality of the Timex Men's T5J641 Ironman Solar Power Shock Resin Strap Watch. My fears were unfounded. I have had the watch for several months now and I have never seen the battery indicator less than 100% despite the fact that I work in the office all day. So the watch does just fine under artifical lighting.
Summary: This was my third Timex watch. I bought it brand NEW and within three weeks it had water damaged. The screen was permanently foggy. I sent the watch off to be repaired by the Timex (TG Service Center). After waiting a couple of months, I finally received a NEW watch (old watch couldn't be fixed). Within a couple of weeks, the same thing happened to the SECOND new watch!! Water damage and foggy screen! I never swam with the watch or did anything "extreme" with it.
Summary: For a supposed sports watch, this watch had lousy durability. The indiglo button stopped working after about a year, and the watch itself ceased functioning altogether in 2 years. There are watches less expensive and not even marketed as "sports watches" with greater durability than this. Goodbye Timex.
Summary: I had ordered this watch from a different seller and it was a bad experience for me and I canceled the order. When I reordered from Chelsea Watch it was a much better experience and the ship date quite a bit shorter which made me much happier and I would buy from Chelsea again.
Indiglo is weak, battery indicator annoying; otherwise, great!

Summary: I've had this watch for a few years now. I had gotten a G-Shock for Christmas (I got what I'd asked for) and was very disappointed that Casio's understanding of "lap time" was very different from the rest of the world's. So I returned the G-Shock and got this baby instead. Pros: --The time, date, and day are much bigger and easier to read than on the G-Shock (Casios always have big "features" that take up all the really valuable real estate on the face of the watch).
Summary: I've had this watch for nearly two years. I use this watch for running and exercising almost every day. Several times the inside of the crystal has fogged on cool, humid mornings, but this has not happened often. Otherwise, the watch has functioned flawlessly. I have worn it swimming and used the buttons while it was wet with no problems. I have kept it in the dark for several days at a time and have not had it lose it's charge.
Timex isn't what it used to be, the product is flawed

Summary: I got my first IronMan over 20 years ago, both that and my next one lasted for about 12 years each. I was VERY happy with them, and was realy interested in getting the new Solar model so I wouldn't have to worry about battery changes anymore (I didn't reseal the last one correctly, otherwise it was still working great). I got my first Solar model in June of 2010.
Summary: I bought this watch a few months ago. I never submerged it in water I only wore it in the shower. It started to collect water inside the lense. I contacted Timex and they sent me another one with no problem. I got the a brand new one 3 weeks ago and the same thing. It was shock resistant and kept the time great. If they could fix the water resistant watch it would be a great watch. I loved everything about it: fetures, weight, comfort, durability, and look.
Summary: I owned this watch for 18 months. It started to fog up on the inside several months ago, sometimes to the point of being unable to read the face. This past week the Indiglo and chime have both quit completely and the watch has begun to freeze up intermittently. I am very disappointed in this watch as I expected it to last 7+ years as the other Ironman watches I have owned did. For the $99 I paid at the time, I expected more than 18 mos.
Summary: Great watch, a really nice purchase, easy to use, looks great, the light is a little low, but i guess i cant ask to much for a watch that uses solar battery. over all its a great product! and its one of the best purchased i have had here.
