Extremely Nice - Band a little long
15 January 2012
Summary: This watch is incredibly sleek and classy. I frequently get complimented on it by people with $1000 watches. The thinness and quality of the white (which is slightly silvery, in a very nice way) stands out with modern simplicity. My one gripe is that the wristband seems like it is designed for very large wrists - I'm wearing it on the second-to-tightest hole, and the band sticks out a bit much.
Summary: I purchased this watch for my brother for Christmas. He is a nurse, and was wanting a non-metal band watch that wasn't at risk for catching on anything while he's working. This watch is exactly what I was hoping it would be. The leather and stitching seem to be high quality enough for all normal wear. The bezel is VERY narrow, and the entire body of the watch is less than a 1/4" tall.
The watch crystal that cracked without a reason......

Summary: I like the watch. I was very happy to wear it. But guess what? The crystal cracked with no reason. I was very disappointed. Never had an experience like this with my watches before.I read a similar comment in this page from somebody else. Shall Skagen Watches at least cover the costs of replacing the crystal? Have there be any improvement in the quality of the same after similar complains?
Summary: This watch looks attractive, but that's all it really has going for it. When I put it on my wrist, the crown dug so uncomfortably into my skin whenever I moved my hand the wrong way, that it took me about 20 seconds to know I'd be returning it. I'm surprised more people haven't commented on this flaw, as it's a very poor design. All they had to do was have the crown sit higher (away from the skin), and it would be fine.
Summary: Let me start off by saying, I LOVE the look. It's a great looking watch. Not loud either. My issue with this watch is that the crown jabs my hand whenever I move my hand up. It's also a little difficult to put the strap on. The strap itself feels like it will tear or damage easily. The earlier reviews lead me to believe this is indeed a fragile strap/watch. For these reasons, I don't use it as my daily driver. Looks great, though!
Summary: looks great, even lighter than I expected, too bad it isn't water proof but 99ft resistant isn't bad, so long as I remember to take it off before I go for a surf. It's slick and its slim, Thats exactly what I was looking for, I love it.
Summary: This is my favorite watch, by far. However, it has its issues, the most annoying one being the fact that the leather band is a proprietary format and it costs $25+shipping on Skagen's website (sometimes they offer free shipping). And the leather band lasts about a year. After 2 years I started buying generic 12mm leather bands and use a box cutter to shape it.
Summary: I purchased this watch online about 5 yrs ago because I wanted a very light unobtrusive watch. The watch has performed perfectly. NO issues whatsoever. Feels great and looks great. Great casual watch. Main problem is with the leather band. I have purchased three or four so far. YOU must order them from skagen directly or I believe there is one online reseller. Costs about $25.00. I have the older pin model, the newer ones use screws. Very difficult to change the band.
