watch is better than the watch band
13 February 2011
Summary: I bought this watch about a month ago and the watch band has already had the black coating wear off on several links, I work at a desk and not in middle of some crazy outdoor setting so it makes no sense to me that the black coating would wear off that easily. I wear the watch on my left wrist and work at a computer all day, the area on the watch band that comes into contact with my desk top is almost totally wore down of all black coating. Are you kidding me??
Summary: well what I can tell you buy this watch because I am the owner of a watch seiko monster of 200 meters and I think the only thing is excellent machine that is advanced about 5 minutes every 6 months of rest I highly recommend it to those who want to buy . in a nutshell is an excellent clock.
Summary: This is a heavy and solid watch. It will look big if you have tiny wrists. The band is nice and adjustable. Very hard to find in stores, where you will find its price hovering around 300 USD. Buy it on Amazon through Long Island Watch if possible.
Summary: this is my first time to own a seiko 5 watch but it sure looks great. the size is quite big and weighs a lot more than the watches i had before but it feels comfortable kind the like you really have something going on on your wrist. it is built like it seemed to be designed for banging around but i can't wait to take it for a test in the ocean of the Pacific where i fish a lot. shipping wise the seller "ROCKs" it got on time as expected.
Summary: First of all, I would like to say thank you for Long Island Watches regarding their kindness help. Before, I have this seiko, I ordered another brand of the watch from Long Island. It does have some defected but I guess it from watch manufacturer not by Long Island. After contact with Marc, the owner, he reply my email quickly and solve all problems with the very best solution.
Summary: I have a small collection of automatics, but they are all a little formal. I wanted one that I could bang around, but didn't want one with a rubber band since I tend to shred those. This PVD coated auto was perfect. It's been keeping very good time (granted, not as accurate as my Swiss automatics) and it's wearing very well. I have a feeling that this watch will handle all I can throw at it.
