Does the Job

Summary: I recently purchased this watch from Amazon.com when they were having a watch sale. During that period and even now I notice that the price on this product does fluctuate now and then if a supplier changes or really whenever. The packaging was typical Amazon packaging. The watch comes in a temporary sleeve (looks like recycled paper) which seemed old and was starting to tear but understandable since it is there to protect the box.
Summary: The watch is good and keeps excellent time. I haven't had it under water (yet). No Seiko instruction or warranty booklet was enclosed, only a generic folded piece of glossy paper. I asked about that and per conversation with an Amazon representative was told to send the watch back with a prepaid UPS label. (I did not understand the reason for such trouble. All I wanted was the booklet.) I did so and received a replacement. This time the strap had a defective buckle.
Summary: This watch arrived as described and in great shape. It was easy to set and once I had worn it for about 3 days it kept perfect time. Luminosity is far brighter than I expected and it is easy to read at night. It shows a little small on the wrist and I am on the small side. When I saw it online I thought that I would change the band but the band is actually quite nice for what it is.
Summary: Great watch. Looks great. Haven't owned Seiko's before and bought this on an impulse. I wanted a no-frills watch and that is what I got. Unfortunately I must have misread the size dimensions because this watch is very small on me. I have big wrists (maybe 7.5 inches) and it looks as if it were meant for a child. Other than that, its great.
Summary: I consider myself a watch connoisseur. I have had a love for watches and for a long time; I thought that my watch love could only be given to Swiss watches. A week or so ago my friend tasked me to find him an awesome watch for $50-$150. I told him I would look, but I was skeptical that I would find one in that price range that I would consider awesome. I stumbled upon this watch on Amazon. I didn't think much of it because of the price and it was a Japanese movement.
tried 2 different examples, just not a dependable watch

Summary: After owning the first one and it gaining 30 seconds a day and sending that one back, the second one which amazon shipped out kept great time gaining less than one second a day. However, the biggest downfall of this watch that isn't mentioned much is its power reserve. It wouldn't even stay wound enough to power it from early evening to the next morning. There is no manual wind mechanism on this, it's all from your wrist movement.
Summary: many have reviewed this very watch and its awesome, for the price and what you get is simply unbeatable. this watch is perfect for anyone with a small wrist as the watch dial does not crowd your arm, and its accurate enough for daily use where unless the average user decides to sit next to a credible time source for comparison, likely will never notice is the watch slips at all.
Summary: I have had a few seiko watches in my time so I trusted the company. I received the watch and I loved the look of the watch. I found out after I received the watch that it is not made in japan but Malaysia. The watch lost 2 1/2 min a day so you have to constantly reset it. After 2 weeks of this I returned the watch. They should state that it is built in Malaysia.
Summary: I have done my fair share of research when it comes to watches and for the price this timepeice is unbeatable. I barely lose any time on my watch AND IF YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, it is very easy to opperate. If you are looking for something that is comfortable, light weight, reliable, and budget sensative you are going to be happy with the Seiko 5. But don't take my word for it, try it for yourself!
Summary: I bought this watch a few months ago and am still wearing it. I enjoyed how it looked stock but quickly changed out the band for a black and silver 18mm Nato band by DeBeers. It looks dramatically more expensive now. I recommend purchasing this watch and maybe a black leather band and some Nato bands for switching it up. The watches black face allows it to have a lot of different colors of bands and gives it incredible versatility for different occasions.
