WHY cannot Seiko produce a goldtone version of this with a white dial ?
3 February 2012
Summary: WHY ? Seiko's customers are waiting for the product they want: A goldtone version of this watch. Please leave everthing else as is, white dial, day & date, second hand, some helpful marks why not plain, black, arabic numerals marking the hours. The quality needs to be up to Seiko's good, normal, high quality.
Summary: My fiancee had a watch that one of his favored co-workers had given him years ago and it finally died. He had a replacement given to him by one of his friends, but he hated to wear it. I got him this as a surprise and he was as giddy as a schoolgirl when he opened it. Best money I ever spent. We have had no issues with it and the solar battery works very well. It can even be charge by incandescent light! We hope this watch will stay around for a long time!
Summary: Extremely high quality, easy to set and very sharp looking. I went with the white face which provides good contrast to easily tell time. The packaging and box is very nice as well. Previously I had a automatic self winder and experienced the issue where it would sit in a drawer for a few days and lose time. The solar power will stay running for a very long time with no sun. The accuracy is unreal, I am experiencing less than 1 second gain/loss per week.
Summary: In 2003 I treated myself to a battery operated Georg Jensen watch designed by Henning Koppel. A timeless design that still looks classy today and will do so way into the future. Fortunately it had no second hand, day or date and the battery lasted right up to June of this year (a bit of research confirms that if you have all the functions a battery change is going to be quite frequent).
Summary: The watch is great functionally and esthetically, but if you are giving it as a present to someone who is not too handy beware that the recipient may have to take it to a jeweler to adjust the length of the band. Unfortunately Seiko doesn't include paper instructions or a web site with instructions. You can make the adjustments easily yourself if you are handy.
Summary: I am very pleased with this watch. It has all the style and quality that I expect from Seiko, plus it's solar powered. Overall, it's a great value. I liked it so much that I bought the women's version for my wife.
Summary: Very happy with the watch. Bought it for my husband to replace a watch I had bought him for our 10th anniversary in 1967 which finally died. Glad not to have to replace a battery anymore. Happy about price also.
Summary: Keeps good time, looks great, and easy to operate. Based on other reviews, solar is more accurate than mechanical watches. It also charges very quickly and lasts for months on one charge! Of course with normal exposure to light, it constantly charges, and also has a feature that prevents an overcharge... I wasn't convinced that white is a manly color for watches, but my wife disagrees (she got it for me...). She likes white because it would match anything I wear.
Summary: The watch received 2 days ago keeps great time, it feels like a delicate watch(dress watch), but I'll say this: the picture does not do thiis watch justice, it is much nicer when you see it in person, VERY NICE DRESS WATCH
