Summary: Great watch. Simple and keeps good time. I changed the watch band to a softer model as the PVC band supplied was a bit hard. Just personal preference. Delivery was prompt and price was lowest I found on the net. Very happy !!
Summary: Before I purchased this watch I was interested in other brands which were similar ( Citizen for example), but having read some reviews I was swayed by some of the descriptions given which referred to the solid & comforting nature of the Seiko. This proved to be the case & since I have received the watch I must say how happy i have been with my choice & how glad I was to have read some reviews beforehand. The watch is lovely to look at, it looks & feels very impressive.
Summary: I had been wanting the SKX007 for a long time, and the price was right, so I ordered it for Christmas. I have been wearing it now for a little over 3 weeks and I must say I am very happy. It has been keeping perfect time so far, and I expect it will perform like my other Seiko diver, which has the same motor. I have since changed the strap, since the one it comes with is a little stiff and bulky, but I knew I would be doing that.
Summary: The watch looks nice, however after few days of use, it stops working without any reason. We tried reading the manual, kept using it to see if was some mistake, but it stopped again when we were out of the country last week. I don't want this watch anymore!
Summary: Prospective buyers should beware that when purchased from Mr. Watch this watch is a gray market watch and will not include a box, manual, manufacturer's warranty, or any proof of authenticity. I have done my best to verify that what I received was genuine and everything seems correct, but the watch itself came in a plastic bag shoved in a non-branded box and a "warranty" certificate from Mr. Watch, not Seiko.
Summary: If I would have bought this watch before my Omega Seamaster, I would have not bought the Omega Seamaster. This watch is everything I have asked for as a day-to-day watch. It is very stout, has a classic style that allows it to be worn for most occasions, and it can take abuse (not that I plan on abusing it). If your just getting into watches, let this be your first purchase as a newbie watch enthusiast.
Summary: No other watch maker provides superior value in a diver than Seiko when it comes to the SKX007. You just cant't beat the durability and accuracy of a Seiko diver. For me, the automatic movement gives a superior value because you never need a battery which avoids costly pressure testing after the case has been opened. If you want a watch that you can wear in pretty much any situation, the SKX007 is for you.
Summary: I made a mistake. I have owned my original Seiko diving watch since 1983, using it on hundreds of deepwater dives over the years, actually using the bezel to time my decompression stops, without any problems. I stopped diving over ten years ago due to health issues, but went on a snorkeling trip to Key West recently using my watch. Little did I know that the gaskets and O ring had dried out and thus my watch started to fog up. I took it to a jeweler when I got home.
