Seiko Divers Watch SKA 371P1
15 January 2012
Summary: I am very pleased with this watch. I am a great Seiko fan, all their watches are great value and excellent time keepers. This one is no exception, a super looking no frills excellent time-keeping piece. It's a big, chunky, heavy real-man's type watch that seems like it could withstand a nuclear explosion. Similar to a Rolex Submariner at a fraction of the price.
Summary: I have been promising myself one of these watches for a long time - I had a pay rise a work and decided to treat myself! I love the classic look and engineering of this watch, no flashy gimmicks or features, just precision engineering in a solid case. It is quite heavy, so be warned its not like other divers watches on the high street, this is made from stainless steel and its pretty chunky (which is exactly what i wanted).
Summary: Replacement for my 10 year old perpetual calender divers watch. Solid build and now can be seen in the dark which was the main problem with my old watch. Style and finish up to the usual Seiko standard.
Summary: The watch arrived in 24 hrs as promised, wonderful. I had 2 links taken out at my local Seiko jewellers. Tonight as I was looking at the back for the serial number to put on the card, the whole bracelet fell to bits! On the American Amazon site there are at least two instances of this happening, the watch in one case being lost underwater. I thought this was made up but evidently not. Pity because the watch is lovely, Im SO disappointed!
Summary: The spec. of this watch is more than adequately addressed within other reviews. What I can't stress enough however is the sheer quality of the Seiko and how it feels on your wrist - pleasantly heavy, neither too big nor too small. My 'dream' watch is a TAG Monaco, however I can honestly say that having purchased the SKA371P1, I would find it hard to better - and have saved myself several thousand pounds in the process.
Summary: Having viewed and ordered the watch on the same day, I placed an order for next day delivery. The watch arrived 15 hours or so later (as promised) and easily meets my expectations in terms of appearance, quality and functionality. However, I was disappointed to find that within that 15 hour overnight period, the watch has come down in price which makes me wish I had pondered a little longer and saved myself another £15 into the bargain ...
Summary: This watch was bought to replace a similar seiko time peice used for work. I rarely swim and never dive. But am a builder and was looking for a tough robust watch that was dust proof and waterproof as well as shock and bomb proof. In other words something pretty much indestructible, and hey presto, in this watch I found exactly what I was looking for. It's over a year since it's purchase and still in mint condition. I wear it every day.
Summary: I FIRST PURCHASED MY PREVIOUS SEIKO DIVERS WATCH SOME 25 YEARS AGO AND ONLY DECIDED TO PURCHASE ANOTHER FROM THE SAME MAKER WHEN THE COST OF A (25 YEAR) SERVICE MADE THE PURCHASE OF A NEW WATCH MORE COST EFFECTIVE. MY PREVIOUS WATCH HAD A VERY HARD LIFE, IT NEVER LEAVING MY WRIST , BUT IT STILL LOOKED GOOD. THE NEW WATCH SEEMS EVEN MORE UNBREAKABLE, WITH IMPROVEMENTS TO THE STRAP SECURITY. THESE WATCHES ARE VERY SMART, AND SUITABLE TO WEAR ON ALL OCCASIONS.
Summary: Ordered this watch about five days ago and received it yesterday, happy with that considering time of year and having a weekend in-between. It is a replacement for my Citizen divers watch which is starting to struggle after ten years of use. I was looking for a good quality make and something 'simple' ie tells the time and has the date. Looked through hundreds of pictures of watches to find ones I liked the look of, obviously this is a personal thing.
