Summary: With 1 hour of daily use this unit consumes a battery every couple of months, and the housing for the heart rate sensor is soft plastic which easily deforms when changing the battery. Figure on changing the battery with every 60 or so hours of use. Sometimes it experiences communication errors which can cause workout data loss. The watch did "brick" once and had to be sent out for repair, since return it has not done so again.
Summary: I have been using this watch about 5-6 days a week since I purchased it almost a year ago. It has a lot of functionality built in like fitness test, zone lock, workout history and it also gives you a weekly review. I find that using this heart rate monitor pushes me to work harder and try to beat previous goals and also to beat the goals that the watch sets for me at the beginning of the week.
Summary: this watch store my heartbeats continuously, witch my old polar watch did not. it gives me feedback, and guide me for the intensity of my training, be it on my bike or with the weights. great product.
Summary: Overall great product - I've been using it for a year now, logged about 300+ hours of activity and only recently had to change the battery. Great for running, swimming, hiking, weight training, etc. The only annoyance is polarpersonaltrainer.com website that you need to connect to to view your data - It's been down quite frequently and I've had lots of problems with accessing it as it would suddenly stopped accepting my password which I always saved in the browser.
Summary: I was so excited to try this, but was very disappointed. 1. Polar personal trainer.com won't let me save strength training exercises. 2. Strength training guidance doesn't display the dotted line so it was difficult for me to predict when to do the next set. 3. Polar won't get back to my questions. So sad... and I spent over $200. P.S. I followed instructions on their website and not very helpful either.
Summary: Great heart rate monitor, and great healthy and workout tracking software -- via online website. The docking station is also a nice touch, since it's wireless, making uploading date a breeze. My only complaint is the chest strap -- it's not very comfortable, and during a hard workout I feel that I need to pull it up occasionally.
Summary: This watch is really great but the black background display is very bad. in low light condition you can barely see the numbers, you have to look at the display at the wright angle to see the numbers.
