Reviews and Problems with Luminox Men's 8802 Stainless-Steel Analog Plastic Bezel Watch

Summary: Amazon was great as I selected next day shipping and I received my watch within 24hrs. So far the watch has been nothing less than awesome! Fits great and as everyone else says its nice and lightweight. During low light its extremely visible as advertised! Would buy another Luminox for sure!
Summary: Large size, but muted medium-gray dial tone makes it very versatile. Will be wearing it while hunting and when taking the kids to soccer games. Like other reviews, rather under-stated watch despite the 45mm diameter.
Summary: This is the second Navy Seal watch I have bought for my husband. They are very dependable, functional and durable. He wears the watch to work and play and all casual occasions. This particular 20th Anniversary version is very nice to look at and a number of people have commented on how good looking the watch is. My husband was ecstatic when he saw it.
Summary: A good watch, fulfilling its purpose to be 1) very clearly visible in the dark 2) not garish, like the bulk of Luminox's offerings. It's light, the strap could be better in my opinion: it gets hot and sticky, and does not firmly secure the watch, which tends to rotate on the wrist. The reason for the three stars is that as soon as I wore the watch, one of the two bracelets fell.
time can be seen in light or total darkness, date can't be seen without magnifying glass
24 June 2011
Summary: The time can be seen in daylight, total darkness, or anything in between. It takes a magnifying glass to see the date. They should either find a way for the date to be seen without a magnifying glass (different font, different color, bigger date display, etc) or replace the date with the number "3".
Summary: I highly recommend this watch for active people. This is the second Luminox I've owned. The old one has been all over Afghanistan and Iraq and never missed a beat. I bought this model, because I like the style. I particularly like being able to see the watch at night, hands free.
Summary: I was originally very pleased with this watch and somewhat still am. The watch is very light and considerably durable, however the small piece of glass covering the bezel marker broke and the tritium tube inside broke. I am not sure when this occured but it is very troubling since the tritium is slightly radioactive. I will continue to wear the watch after some time has passed and I feel safe wearing it but I can't see myself buying another in the future.
