Summary: Mine was losing 10 minutes every couple of days right out of the box. Luminox would not honor the warranty. Do not buy Luminox. Cool looking watches but no quality control and an unethical company.
Summary: I really like the watch! It looks and feels of quality, but if I had it to do over again, I would not choose the rubber watch band. I realize this is a special purpose watch (I bought it for every day use), and the band is most likely intended to wear over a wetsuit or other clothing, but it's way too long. I'm 5'9" about 190 pounds and I have to use the 7th hole out of 9 holes closest to the watch, consequently leaving a lot of band hanging out.
Summary: When I opened the packaging a week before I expected the watch I was ecstatic. This thing is as beautiful as a tricked out M4 with a matching HK USP. The watch feels like a melee weapon and the luminous number markers and hands are amazing. Then the rot set in. The hour and minute hand alignment is SO BAD that I set the watch an hour fast without knowing it. For example; at straight up midnight/noon the hour hand is almost halfway between 11 and 12.
Summary: I purchased this watch for my boyfriend who for a month straight tortured himself by looking at pics and prices of it. He absolutely loves it and cannot think of a bad thing to say about it. Came packaged perfectly and also came with instruction manual. Def. one of the best prices I've seen for this particular watch as well. Best $300 ever spent.
Summary: I bought this watch for my husband, it was the model he wanted. Upon receipt of the watch, the bezel would not rotate unless you used great force with the watch off and in your hands. I did not purchase the watch from a Luminox authorized dealor. As a result Luminox would not repair the watch under the 2 year warranty I thought I was getting. The repair estimate was for $112.00 plus the shipping costs back and forth.
Summary: this is a very simple review. if the second indicator drops off, after having the watch only for one year and using it very normally, one can only conclude that the quality of this watch is bad.
Summary: I am a long time Luminox watch fan, having bought my first Navy Seals watch back in the early 90's. I wore it for about six or seven years, until it was so beat up and ugly, bezel missing, scratched, etc I finally broke down and bought another one. I wore the second one for several years until it too was pretty beat up, and my then girlfriend bought me another one as a gift. The third one was the first one to actually stop working, when a battery didn't fix it.
Summary: I bought this watch after being very happy with the 3000 series, which are pretty much the Luminox entry models. This watch is bulkier and bolder, but has fairly the same features as the 3000 models. I hope the wristband will last longer than the one on my 3003 model, which broke early on, and which I had replaced with a leather band instead. My major complaint with this watch is that it scratches very easily!
