Keeps on Tickin' and Takin' a Lickin'

Summary: I have had this watch now for about three years and it is still seemingly bulletproof. I have, however, had to replace the band because it started to rip and would not remain on my wrist. The ruberized band itself lasted about 2 years which is good considering the a salesman for luminox said they normally only last a year. And in those two years, I barely took this thing off; not in the shower, pool, gym, or for work around the house; this watch is a quality time peice.
Summary: I am a bit of a watch dork and own several diving watches. I read the good and bad of this watch and figured i'd give it a fair shake and bought it as a graduation gift for my son, who is on his way to hawaii for college and needed a nice diving/water sports watch. This this is very light, made of composite materials and feels like you are not wearing anything.

Summary: I was initially dissapointed as the watch sent didn't work properly. I have to say I was amazed at how quickly this issue was resolved by Amazon.com. Now I know why they are so highly rated and so popular. I will have complete confidence in making purchases with Amazon in the future as they handled it the very best way possible. I had another one the next day and have been enjoying it since. A great product. A superior service.
Summary: I bought this watch because a metal allergy sent me looking for a band with no metal at all. This watch is really light weight, and I never know that I am wearing it. I dropped it into my dogs water bowl and immediately fished it out, well I rinsed it off and let it dry out and it's been fine. At night the glowing hash marks show up clearly in all situations and that is really nice. Overall if you like what you see buy it.
Summary: Ive read a bunch of reviews on here that their luminox watches don't like water and are not rugged. maybe theirs a bad batch or something else. i bought mine at a local px when i was in the army. not sure what model exactly but it reads 3000/3900 series on the back bezel. Ive had the watch over 5 years now with the same battery and its pretty much the only watch i will wear.
Summary: I am a watch hound, I have over 20 watches in my collection everyting from Omega to Ball and all in between. I have owned a Luminox 3900 series for over 7 years now, and will say this is the best everyday watch I have ever owned. I work in Law Enforcement and spend a lot of time boarding foregin vessels at sea in the Gulf of Mexico. I am also a diver and have been down to 40 feet several times with this watch and never had a problem.

Summary: *** WARNING -- DO NOT BUY YOUR LUMINOX WATCH FROM AMAZON.COM *** LUMINOX WILL SAY AMAZON.COM IS NOT AN "AUTHORIZED" SELLER AND WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. Mine broke in a year and I just had this problem.
Summary: Really liked the watch as soon as I got it - it was just what I was looking for. But soon it became apparent that the minute and hour hands were out of sync. When the minute hand reaches the 12 the hour hand is well past the hour it is supposed to be at. I've had the watch about 8 months now and it gets more and more out of sync. I guess I could send it in to be looked at but still have to pay $10 to have just that done.
