My favourite watch
4 January 2012
Summary: This is my favourite of the dozen or so watches I own. The finish quality is superb, the accuracy second to none, and the illumination still makes me scratch my head and wonder where my jet-pack is. The light tubes are a marvel of modern science. I prefer this strap type over metal straps because the rubberised straps always fit perfectly and aren't heavy.
Summary: Best price around, came within the timeframe described, arrived in perfect condition, looks great and keeps great time. What's not to love? A nice step up from my old Navy Seals watch which gave up the ghost after 16 years of hard use.
Summary: Review from my husband. This watch looks and feels fantastic. It is very comfortable on the wrist. Not too big or too heavy. A lot lighter than I expected. I also ordered the Nato Band for the F-117 Nighthawk 3401. Amazon was the one place that had these available. 8 Luminox retail stores in Michigan were sold out of this model and the price range was $460-$550. Other stores online sold the watch for less but was not an authorized dealer.
Summary: Thanks! Gems4Me and amazon, I work contruction in Afghanistan and was amazed at how quickly my Luminox 3401 Nighthawk watch arrived. I've only been wearing it for a week and have already banged it around pretty hard. It didn't scratch or become marred in anyway. It seemed a bit pricey at first, but if it holds up as well as it did on these first couple bang arounds, I'll be very happy..
Summary: I have been wearing my Luminox for about a year now. This watch was to be my work watch instead of my Rolex. I like this watch so much particularly the way it lights up at night that I wear all the time. I love this watch and so do my friends. Many of them purchased this watch! And once again Amazon was the seller.
Summary: I previously owned the Luminx 8401 Special Ops watch, but prefer this model over it for the following reasons: Anti-reflective coating on the sapphire chrystal, makes viewing easier LTL on the bezel at the 12 o'clock position, versus the glowing marker on the 8301 Larger band with security strap holds this watch in place better than the 8301 The second hand lands precisely in line with the markers on the dial Stainless steel case, like the 8301, makes this watch feel...
Summary: I had read about the Luminox watches, and spent quite a bit of time on the net looking at a range of models (and competitors' models). I liked the look of the F177 Nighthawk, although I wasn't particularly thrilled with the denotation. I finally decided to purchase this model, instead of the navy seal. This model is cased in metal rather than composition material, and thus is probably quite a bit heavier.
Summary: My wife purchased this watch for me as a gift about five years ago. This watch is very durable for sports and activities. I use it all the time at the gym, for hiking, snow and water skiing and for yard work and everyday use. It has survived numerous, accidental bangs against weights, wood, shovels and who knows what else. A few years ago I accidentally broke the crystal and sent it in for repair. It came back as good as new.
