Great watch Shoulda bought the one with date window
25 January 2012
Summary: Love the GIANT face on the watch. The rubber wrist band is very stiff after wearing for about a week is becoming more flexible. Wish I would have bought the model with a date window I find myself checking the date 5 times a day.
Summary: This is a great looking watch for a fair price. The $595.00 initial price seems like way too much to tell you the true! I believe is a "bogus" price, however it worth the $79. Nevertheless after 2 months doing some little swimming in salt water i noticed some slightly rust and oxidation stains in the body near the screw cap, wristband and the dial. I m usually good, rinsing it off after salt water contact, but i think it should hold it a little longer without any stains!
The 1440 Russian Diver is just AWESOME!! ... However...

Summary: 1- When I got this watch, I was impressed with its size and thickness of the straps. 2- A local big box store had it for $397 on display, so Amazon's price is awesome! 3- The watch is pretty comfortable and secure on the wrist and the weight won't drag you down. 4- It does look like a high quality product. Due to the thickness, it doesn't seem like it will break that easy.
Summary: Looking up history on this watch, it looks like it is a variation of an old prototype watch worn in the former USSR by a secret 'divers brotherhood' where you would have to wrestle and capture a shark by hand for the initiation. This watch was their only way to tell the remaining time on their oxygen tanks. Thus, the watch had to be big (the watch dial is 2", or 50mm, across), glow-in-the dark, and in some cases..
Summary: This is the second Invicta Russian Diver's Watch I've gotten for my husband, because he just loved the first one so much. Big as it is, he wears it everyday, well not now, because he's got to decide between the two the first one I got him, or this one. These Russian Diver's watches are big, heavy and gorgeous. Yes, it's a macho thing I suppose, but what can you do? Men like big things.
Summary: This watch is for you if you are looking for a classy, flashy watch. It's flashy due to its large size, but it's not bright gold or wild-colored. This watch definitely needs a large wrist to hold it!
Whoa! This thing is big and I have photos to prove it

Summary: Received as part of the Amazon Vine Review Program, this Invicta Men's Black Russin Diver watch is a heavy, heavy piece of fashion equipment! The face of the watch is attractive - black with glow-in-the-dark green. The size is 'HUGE' or more accurately 2" across the face of the watch, a little over 1/2" thick, and it sports a 1" black rubber watch band. The stem sticks out quite a bit too (probably about 1/4 to a 1/2"), and may be uncomfortable for some.
You will definitely make an impression wearing this magnificent Swiss timepiece.

Summary: This watch is very nice and has a wonderful presence. If you like large watches, then this one is for you. It's not too heavy to weigh down your wrist, but it does have some weight to it. A large face, with Tritnight luminous markers to glow brightly in the dark, it does need about 4-5 hours of light exposure for it to work correctly in the dark. It is water resistant, with instructions on how to screw down the crowns to help prevent water infiltration.
Summary: The Invicta Men's 1440 Russian Diver watch is a heavy duty, durable time piece that will last forever, even if you dive often. It has a very large face and it's a weighty watch. The glow in the dark feature will help divers see the time in any type of water visibility and the durable quality makes it an easy choice for diving.
Summary: IT's BIG and HEAVY. The pictures on the website don't really show that. It looks better than the pictures, too. The black color is really bold - it's not the black that turns semi-gray after a while; it stays deep black. The glow-in-the-dark is very bright. It is a very attractive watch, although I think it's not meant as a 'dress' watch. The design is meant as a diver's watch, which is probably why it is so big and why the luminous parts are so bright.
