This is hands down the best device for multi-sport athletes.

Summary: I bought this Garmin model because I need something that can track all of my triathlon training. This device does that very well. It's easy to use and it does an extraordinary job outdoors. My only complaint would be that during the off season, I have to train indoors quite a bit and this is the only place the 910XT falls short. This is especially true in the pool. It sometimes doubles my length times when it loses track of where I'm at.
This is highly recommended for the serious athlete in training!

Summary: So far, it has been 2 weeks since I started using this HRM GPS watch. I have been very satisfied with it. However, I still have to sit down and review all the many functions it has. This may be the GPS watch that has it all.
Does just about everything one would want, but defective barometer was a hassle.

Summary: The only drawback was that the first unit had to be sent back due to a defective barometer. That also meant I had to reprogram and resync the entire thing by hand. This includes the slow entering of bike names, etc. It would be great if this could be done on a computer and then the settings transferred. Also, one would expect that the factory could automatically reset the settings, or at least, do so manually since the whole affair was their fault.
Summary: When I made the leap from marathons to 50 & 100 mile ultras my 8 hours battery life in the Forerunner 405 just couldn't last long enough. But the 20 hour battery in the 910xt is perfect. It is a little bulkier than the 405 but it is unnoticeable after a few runs.
