Summary: I wanted a Garmin since I need to report my heart rate (HR) to a Coach and they can see every second of the training (which my old Polar could not do). I originally bought the Garmin 210 - it works well but cannot display time and HR on the same display. I use these for Spin classes when I can't cycle outside so NOT helpful when trying to stay in a HR zone for a particular amount of time. The 210 is ideal for runners - not cyclists.
Summary: I've had the Gramin 910XT for a little over a year now. I bought it from a local Tulsa Running store but I like it so much that i thought I'd do a review. Previously I owned a Garmin 405 and a Suunto ambit. I liked the Garmin 405 ok, but the battery life and the bezel were not great. I just didnt like the Suunto very well at all. The 910 is the best I have used or been around. I have close to 2000 running miles on it. The battery life is astounding.
Summary: Never been a fan of Garmin sport watches, but this one is an excellent product. It is very well designed, it wears extremely comfortable and the GPS signal is always strong. The display is large enough to easily show a set of 4 different informations (e.g. pace, distance, time, altitude etc.) and it works for running, cycling and swimming. The materials used seem durable and sturdy, unlike any other Garmin sport watch I've seen or used.
