Summary: My first Casio G-Shock (the GW500A-1V G-Shock Atomic Solar Watch) lasted approximately 10 years before the battery gave out. The resin wrist band lasted the whole time. I wanted a different look this time around, so I purchased the Atomic Rescue about two months ago. With its rugged handsomeness, surely this must be the John Wayne of Casio's solar product line.
Summary: I was looking for a watch to replace the cheap, imitation G-shock watch I had. It lost one of the buttons after about 2 months. I just received it and out of the box, it had the correct time. Just keep it charged using sunlight or indoor light. Not having to worry about replacing the battery is a HUGE plus. The watch is BIG and durable, well worth the investment.
Summary: No problems. Does everything is said it would do. Great buy, I wish I would have gotten one sooner. I bought my first G-Shock when I was in Iraq years ago and that One is still going strong too. Love them.
Summary: on dec 20 i paid for a g-shock watch i also paid for express service it was a gift fo my son birthday on dec.26 as of today jan 3 i hav not heard from them after 10 e-mails to them punch254 do not order anything from them i do not want no one too go threw this again
Summary: this is my first g shock watch so i don't have nothing really to compare it to, with that being said i am very happy with it and have never had any problems. Purchased it for work, although i wear it often outside of work. this watch has made me a fan of the g shock line, can't wait to get another one.
Summary: Mostly I love the watch. It's rugged, stylish and doesn't stop on me. However, after a very short time of owning the watch (maybe a month or two), one of the silver screws has already popped off. I payed $150.00 for this watch. The workmanship should be better. I've suddenly noticed that one customer, who uploaded their own photo to Amazon, has TWO silver screws missing from his watch too. This thing costs too much for these type of things to be happening.
Summary: I love this watch. At first, I thought it would look too big and clunky on my wrist, but it doesn't. It keeps perfect time, the solar battery only started running low once, and that was because I was keeping the watch out of direct light. I just had to let the watch sit in direct sunlight for a few hours and it hasn't run low since (and I bought this watch about 8 months ago). The circular dial all the way on the right is superfluous and unnecessary, but it looks good.
