Allows for small adjustment to my time pieces
1 February 2012
Summary: The watch repair kit has the basic tools to allow me to make small adjustments to my time pieces. I have been able to remove the backs easily on my more treasured pieces without marring or scratching the cases, then make the minor adjustments necessary. It was worth the Gold Box deal price I paid for it, though the box did come in less than perfect condition.
Summary: I chose this kit because after researcing other kits, this one seemed to be more towards the higher end. However, after receiving the kit, I was disappointed in the quality of the tools included. Some tools were better than others but a couple of critical tools for my project were really cheap looking and difficult to use. I bought this kit to specifically remove a few links from the band of my newest watch.
Summary: Gold Box buy! Items arrived rusted and of super low quality; pliers made from aluminum and bend with little force. Sent it back already... and honestly I'm getting a little tired of the Amazon practice of advertising outrageous list prices ($250.00 for this kit) on dollar-store type items. Amazon is a great vendor, but transactions like this make me weary of future purchases.
Summary: It is a good assortment of tool for working with different kinds of watches. Although I would not agree on the MSRP because the quality of some of the peaces looks a little cheap, the overall function is still good.
Summary: I purchased this when first released, Amazon had a Gold Box deal on it. For that price, I decided to keep it, but wouldn't pay the $75 release price. It is a fairly complete kit, the only thing is that it could use some directions. It comes with a sheet of paper that says what each item is, but not the best way to use it (although it really didn't take me any time to figure it out.) Another reviewer said that theirs came with rusty parts, mine were in great condition.
Summary: List price of $250...not a chance. The product description sounds impressive, but the product is very disappointing. What looks like a solid case is just black cardboard (that is already partially crushed). There is a tool list sheet that looks to be scribled freehand and run through a Xerox machine (some of the ink had run). As someone else mentioned, there is no description of operation for the poor quality tools included.
Summary: The story talks about Croton quality and excellence. Unfortunately that doesn't describe the tools in this kit. In the sellers defense the actual product description just claims this kit gives you the ability to work on a watch which I suppose is possible but I wouldn't touch any watch I cared about with these tools. The only positive thing I can say is Amazon made the return process easy.
Don't fall for the product images, it is low quality rusted items

Summary: I brought this on gold box deal for a decent price. However, as soon as I opened the box I realized that it is not even worthy for the price I paid. Almost all the steel items are already started rusting. Aluminum parts looks like used or beaten up. Going back to Amazon. You don't get nothing closer to the images shown in the product page.
