Summary: I bought this watch for my boyfriend as a Congratulations gift for getting his master's degree. My boyfriend is a tall and sturdy guy, so I wanted a watch that had a larger face and band. He was so happy with this gift. We love that it has the eco-drive function - no replacing the watch batteries ever! The blue watch face is a nice change from a standard black or white face. The watch is sturdy without being heavy, and it's great for casual or professional wear.
Excerpt: There is no requirement of battery. Initially, I thought this will mean being in sun for me to get the battery recharged. However, that is not the case as this watch can be recharged by any light. This is amazing and wearing it keeps me informing that I am also contributing to the global warming movement. On the whole, this is perfect watch with unmatchable performance, durability, lightness and off course stunning look.
Summary: Description of the watch size was in MM (should have been in inches (and fractions of inches). the watch is much larger, thicker and heavier than I expected it to be! Placing a small coin (i.e. quarter) next to the illustration (several perspectives) would help considerably in communication to prospective buyers the actual size and weight of the watch
Summary: Purchased this less than a month ago. After two to three days of very minimal wear around the office only, treating with great care, noticed scratches all over the band. Contacted company who said that is normal if the band comes into contact with any surface. IE: wood desk, as in sitting at desk looking at computer and reading papers. Company wouldn't even discuss the issue further.
Summary: My wife purchased this watch for my birthday two years ago. I have an allergy to metals and there are things I can't do, like carry change in my pocket, and things I can't wear like almost any type of watch or other jewelry. So I was very happy to finally find a watch that I can wear without worrying about any reaction. I have worn it every day and it is very durable.
Summary: I've have this watch for 6 months now and haven't had any problems. I like that I (supposedly) won't ever have to replace the battery, since it recharges using solar power. It has held up well and keeps perfect time. I wouldn't say it looks stunning, but it does receive occasional complements. It goes well with almost any outfit. This is my primary daily wear watch and I plan to stick with it, so I'm awarding five stars.
Summary: I had been eyeing the citizen titanium watch for years, but it was always too expensive. Finally found this at a really good price on amazon. When it first came, for some reason I wasn't as excited as I thought at the time of placing order online. Didn't feel like it was worth $350 retail - more like $175. I am wearing it on daily basis so there are a few scuffs on the strap, but thats just because of physics.
Summary: I was very happy to get this watch. Titanium is the way to go if you don't like a heavy weight watch and using sunlight (or any other type of light source) to power the watch without having to use and replace a battery is very convenient. It is actually more gray in appearance with a silver trim on the outer edge which makes for a very elegant looking watch without the price tag. A great every day wearable watch!
Summary: I agree that the negative posts have to be about another Citizen Watch. Several of the Eco-Drives seem to have a faulty clasp (you can tell just by looking at them and holding the watches in your hand if the clasp is good or not). This model in particular is fantastic and I've had no problems with it whatsoever. I received it as a gift two years ago and I've gotten more compliments than I can count.
