Summary: What can be said except this is by far one of my favorite watches. I was not sure when I purchases it having not actually held it in my hands. And I dont know if you noticed but its really hard to buy this watch. They stopped making them which is another reason I really wanted this. And I did alot of research on the watch, they stopped making it due to the poor profit margin. So it was not due to some defect or anything.
Summary: This watch is one of many designs Citizen created using both Eco-Drive and Radio Controlled technology and in my opinion, it's the best of all. At least for me because all the others, such as the Blue Angels edition, have slide rule dials and bezels. The busy, busy faces of the slide rule/tach styles overwhelm their appearance and few of us use the features they provide.
Summary: I am an avid citizen watch supporter (and purchaser). To date, this is my most favorite watch ever purchased. It looks amazing on your wrist or even just sitting there. It is big, but not too big. The carbon fiber bezel adds a great touch. Both a polished and rugged look. I would recommend adding this to any collection.
Summary: My Promaster Carbon showed up a few days ago. I've been using a Citizen Skyhawk for about 8 or 9 years. The two greatest features of that watch are the Eco-Drive solar power and the really slick way you can change timezones. The Promaster takes all the best features of the Skyhawk, adds the radio controlled accuracy, and improves on some things. It is a bigger watch, but the dial is easier to read.
Summary: I wanted a classy watch that was highly functional. I travel a great deal across several time zones and needed something that would work for me. I also have a fetish about accuracy. Easy to change and swap home time zones and the atomic time signal keeps my watch accurate. The solar power thing is awesome and keeps a good reserve. It is complicated to a degree, but a bit more intuitive than my other Citizen. This U600 movement is really tops.
Summary: Citizen's Eco-drive Promaster Carbon Chronograph is by far one of the best watches I've ever owned. Citizen has imbued it with both easy functionality and rugged style. The pictures online are great but really don't do it justice. Upon receiving my Promaster Carbon Chronograph, I immediately went online and utilized Citizen's interactive instructions to set the watch.
Summary: I've had this watch for about a month and so far I love it. It's big and bulky and definitely not light weight if that is what you are looking for. Some of the other Citizen watches have titanium bands that would probably make them lighter weight, but I prefer the overall look and durability of stainless. The carbon fiber bezel is really slick looking and gives it a very unique look. I also love how the band is click adjustable.
Summary: I just received this great watch today. It's better than I expected, and the pictures online don't do it justice!! The things that sold me on it included the Eco-drive; multi-band, radio controlled atomic timekeeping; separate UTC and world time functions; 200 meter water resistance; its overall great design; the stainless steel construction and the perfect size - a 45mm case.
Summary: I have owned two earlier Citizens in the past, needing the ability to easily switch between time zones. Neither was usable for everything I want - travel, scuba-diving, solar powered, and ideally with radio-controlled timekeeping. As compromises I moved on to other watches - which also proved to be unsatisfactory compromises. Then my Casio solar-powered watch had the good sense to flood during the current sales.
