Citizen BL5380-58E, great looking watch...
8 January 2012
Summary: Purchased this BL5380-58E Eco-Drive one month ago, wow, this is one great looking time piece. The watch looks extremely elegant, yet sporty and super sturdy and durable. It takes a few steps to actually get the desired function going, like stopwatch, alarm setting, but that is part of the watch personality.
Summary: Beautiful watch: complex, detailed (but easily readable) face; hefty feeling (but not too heavy); attractive band; and perpetual calendar. I love the Eco-Drive feature, as it will never need a replacement battery. It is slightly large in size, but I have slender wrists and it certainly doesn't look oversized on me.
Summary: I love this watch. I had a glass back Seiko Kinetic for a long time until it stopped charging, that was a really nice watch but it had a design flaw in the capacitor that accepts the charge. I've been wanting a decent watch since that stopped working a couple years ago. I chose this Citizen based on looks and not having to change any batteries and I couldn't be happier with it.
Summary: The is a beautiful watch that can be worn for almost all occassions. I own several watches and have gotten tired of changing the batteries on them everyfew years, or some of the automatic watches need to be worn more often to keep them working. I keep coming back to Citizen Eco Drive watches, this is now my third my first perpetual calendar watch. With the power reserve I can keep this watch in a drawer and it will still be powered up months later.
Summary: I have long been a fan of Citizen's quality and craftsmanship. After my previous Eco-Drive was scratched up, beat up, and for all intents and purposes.. worn out.. Yet, still working.. I began to look for a newer model with a few bells and whistles.. Mere words cannot describe how happy I am with this new watch. Granted, there was a learning curve getting everything set, but actually if I had set my male ego aside and actually READ the instructions..
Summary: Great Watch -Nice features and easy to setup -Beautiful Timepiece -Perpetual Calendar (If you have problem to setup perpetual calendar, then follow instruction from CD) -The watch not too big compare to skyhawk model. Drawback: -To set alarm is a bit slow compare to digital watch. -It is difficult to see at night.
Stunningly beautiful watch... with a few drawbacks

Summary: I have searched for many months to find just the right watch. Trying to achieve that perfect balance between features and price is not as easy as it may seem. Some watches I looked at had every feature I wanted plus great styling... but I didn't want to take out a second mortgage on my house to buy them. Others were in my price range, but they were either incredibly ugly or didn't do all the things I wanted a watch to do.
Summary: This is an excellent and beautiful watch. Nice looking, it puts a touch of distinction in your wrist. Packed with features. Just the perpetual calendar, dual time and Eco Drive makes it worth the purchase. No need to bother about replacing batteries, ever... Some functions are a little difficult to master at first and require some dedication. But then, it is such a pleasure to wear it. Citizen has always made fine timepieces. Eco-Drives are an evolution in timekeeping.
