Beautiful Watch with a couple of minor issues
24 January 2012
Summary: Pros: Amazing looks, classic style, robust, and reasonably priced Cons: Bezel scratches easily and a bit heavy I have owned this for over a year now and really love it. I was looking for a nice formal watch. This has a very classy look and is visually appealling. I really like the alarm function and clear display. The controls are very simple and the solar function works great.
Summary: I am terrible at getting new batteries for my watch, so I thought an Eco-drive would be cool. I found this watch while on vacation the first year Eco-drives were available, and no other watch looked as classy or attractive. It is a bit heavy, and the dial gets scratched up pretty easily. However, if you take care of this watch it lasts years. My biggest qualm was the repair/customer service.
Still happy with my Calibre 8700 five years later!

Summary: I purchased this watch just over 5 years ago and I still absolutely love it! I wear it everyday both to work and out and it still looks as good today as it did when I bought it! In fact I've been so pleased with my Citizen that I just purchaced another, the AT0550-11x with the leather band and cordovan color face. I get compliments fairly regularly and I would 100% recommend this or any other citizen watch!
Summary: WOW!!! What a shocker. I just got off the phone with Dalesa and Kimberly in repairs at Citizen. They are nothing if not relentlessly dogged about the company policy....which is well aweful. The Watch Worked fine for 6 months, then the date stopped moving. I called cust svc/repairs and tried to fix over the phone but we couldnt. He recommended I send it in. The Repair Process I had to pay to ship the watch insured...
Summary: The product is perfect.I purchased it for my husband as an anniversary gift and he loves it a lot.The only problem was that amazon didn't have a one day shipping on watches and I didn't know that, so it arrived one day later which wasn't good.I hope amazon adds one day shipping for watches also.
Summary: Other reviews explain the workings of the watch pretty well. I'm not a watch snob so I'll leave that info to them. Pros: - Great looks. It can be work with almost any clothing. - No battery. - Nice size and weight. - Lume is a cool blue in dim light. Looks unique. Cons: - The lume is not very bright. While it looks cool in dim light in the pitch blackness the hands are a bit tough to see. Plus, only the hands are illuminated, nothing on the face is.
Summary: This is the second Citizen Eco-Drive watch that I have owned and my general experience with the Eco-Drive series of watches is that they are stylish, durable and low-maintenance. The sapphire crystal covering the watch face is surprisingly scratch resistant. For a rough user like me (I tend to hit things accidentally with my watch), I hardly see any (fine) scratches on my two Ecco-Drive watches!! This model is no different.
Great functions, however easily scratched dial and case.

Summary: I love the watch, very stylish yet classic. Impressive solar technology. Only downside is that the dial is really easily scratched, coz it's just made of regular glass. The polished dial is also easily scratched, only a few month in use and scratches are building up. Next purchase I'd be sure to go titanium and sapphire crystal.
Summary: Most of the reviewers have comments which sum up this watch nicely. It's alarm bell is soft and it's crown is too easily pulled out two clicks to the setting position. Setting the watch is slow, because the watch hands have to turn to their current setting, which involves a revolution around the watch face. The alarm is tied to the current time and not local time setting.
