Summary: While doing research on titanium watches I found this model. At the time I was actually looking at its sibling, model BM7080-54E with titanium band. There were quite a few reviews claiming the band scratched easily, so I started looking into leather banded titanium watches. I chose the BM7080-03E because it had all the features I wanted. Its easy to read, light weight, water resistant, and last but not least, has a sapphire crystal.
Summary: Citizen's BM70-- sub-range is one of their unknown stars. The quality of manufacture is exceptional on such a low-cost watch: the seconds hand hits the seconds indices; the luminous paint is strong; the polished surfaces are, literally, brilliant, even inside and between the lugs; the crystal is of sapphire, and the soft leather of the strap seems identical to the leather on a far more expensive Citizen a friend bought some years ago.
Summary: First impressions of this watch are that it is a good-looking timepiece with excellent technology. Time will tell on the durability of the watch, but for now, I'm satisfied. I particularly like the sapphire crystal and light weight of the watch. It fits my rather large wrist well and is comfortable, much more comfortable than the old G-shocks I used to wear when I worked in construction regularly.
Summary: Just received this in the mail today. I bought this watch for the long term, so if it for some reason stops working in the first 6 months, I'm going to lower this review. The watch is nice--had everything I wanted. WR100 (which means all of that you can get it wet), long lasting power supply, supposed to keep good close time. Billed as low maintenance. Will look good when I'm wearing a suit--casual enough to wear anytime.
Summary: I've had this watch about 8 months now and it has worked perfectly. I suppose it keeps good time; I'm not too concerned about that. I really like the clean, simple design and the boldness of the entire package. Not too big, not too small. Also, I don't like metal bands, only leather. The leather on this band is quite nice in a rugged way. I will purchase additional Citizen EcoDrive watches. No complaints.
Summary: This is an ideal timekeeping/datekeeping option for dress or for everyday wear at one's office. The watch is exceptionally light, especially with the leather strap provided. The strap itself is quite light and appears to be of inexpensive materials and construction. I imagine I'll replace the band with a premium strap soon, since I suspect that with everyday wear the band will go from "broken in" to "broken down" quite quickly.
Summary: This is a simple no frills watch. It is a basic eco-drive in operation with a calendar function but no additional functions other than the time. The face is medium black and looks clean/uncluttered. The case is medium in size (43 mm including the crown) with silvertone reference marks except the 12 and 6 positions which are made of luminous material. At night only the hour, minute hands and the 12 and 6 positions glow, but you can still tell the time at night.
Summary: I bought this watch to be worn to work everyday. I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality and do not take it off for weeks at a stretch. I even take it in the swimming pool and the leather seems to cope very well.
