Summary: When I received this watch it was not running so I wound it and made sure I did not over tighten the spring. It worked fine that day. The next day I noticed it had lost time so I wound it a little. It never kept time after that second day. Good looking watch, too bad it was defective. There is usually a bad one in every manufactured lot and, they do have a good warranty. But, what happened, happened.
Summary: I am one of those people who cannot successfully wear a wrist watch as I keep banging it into things. I was lookIing for a mechanical pocket watch and this one fits the bill perfectly. It is a very accurate timepiece and my grandkids love watching the mechanical movement of the watch. I have seen some reviews of this watch criticising its small size but in my opinion the watch is perfectly sized.
Summary: I bought this watch for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift, and he absolutely loved it! It looks fantastic, and it works like a charm. I would highly recommend this or any of the Charles-Hubert watches to anyone in need of a time piece.
Summary: I bought several of these watches for the groomsmen in my wedding and feel that I made a very good choice. I wound the watches for several days before giving them as gifts, and they worked flawlessly. These watches keep time to the minute if they are wound daily. They are obviously well made and are very nice looking as well. They are a bit smaller than what I expected, but that aside they are an excellant purchase.
Summary: Loved the look, feel. Heeded the caution about carefully closing it...still wouldn't clasp after about a week, so I just removed the cover. Then the freakin' thing died. Worst purchase I've ever made in my life.
Smaller than expected, but still a wonderful watch

Summary: When I first saw the watch I was surprised at the size. It is slightly, but noticeably, smaller than a standard pocket watch. However it feels quite solid and hefty, has stood up well to daily use and the mechanical movement is mesmerizing. The packaging is nothing special, but I know the person I gave the watch to has thoroughly enjoyed showing it off. In the end, even at retail the watch is a good deal for its solid level of quality.
Summary: Exactly what I have been looking for, quality in a pocket watch. Keeps excellent time without the problem of batteries that always seem to die at the wrong time. Being a period reenactor, it has added a nice, reliable, and authentic piece to my costuming.
