A very good watch for sport
30 December 2011
Summary: I bought this watch because I needed a good timer for refereeing, and this Casio is exactly was I was searching for. It's light and handy (plus water-resistan, so you can use it under any weather condition), and it's very easy to use. The timer mode includes a "referee tool": you can select the number of minutes you want to time, and while time is running you can stop it by pressing the yellow button; the clock automatically shows the injury time at the top of the...
Summary: I have been a ref for nearly 12 months. I do open age and kids matches. Many of the other product reviews cover what this watch does best so i will not cover the same ground only to say it really is a watch designed with officiating matches in mind. Also the interval feature is good for training.
Summary: This product was purchased for a specific needs of a football referee, and it has met all these requirements and more. Firstly a big clear and easy to read screen in all conditions, rain or shine. Once set up correctly it is so simple to use and reconfigure when required, the Sport RFT-100-2VER, was money well spent.
Summary: When I rang casio this was the only watch they had that had a countdown timer with vibration setting - exactly what I needed (for reasons too complicated to go into). Better still, you can set it in stages so the alarm goes off at 4 mins 30, then 5 etc. It is a little tricky to set up but that I guess is the result of trying to squeeze so many functions on any small device.
Summary: I bought it after my old one gave up the ghost after getting wet , so much for it being water resistant to 50 metre. I like the fact that there is a number of set times but unfortunately nothing less than 10 minutes. overall I'm pleased with this.
Summary: I use this watch for running, I can set vibration alerts for my programme, meaning that even when using an MP3 player I can tell when my next stage begins. Each timer will wrk independently. So far, a brilliant purchase for the money.
Summary: I referee different age groups as well as summer tournaments, so the verstality is great. The main feature is the ability to stop the clock on the stop watch while still leaving the elapsed time running, when you couple this with the alert feature (which you set to vibrate or beep at the end of normal time) then you have everything you need for a regular match.
Summary: Im a qualified referee and run small sided football leagues most nights. My only criticism would be the strap, I hate plastic straps that dont look as if they can be replaced easily and the watch may well out last the strap. That said I treat my stuff carefully and it shows no signs yet of giving out after many months. The Countdown feature is invaluable for different length halves. I often use it for an 18 minute half.
