casio . Good everyday watch.

Ebay
11 June 2013
  • Summary: Its a great all round watch. Very practical well priced and reliable. The only fault is the watch band design. You have to by original watch band or the watch is useless. This is good for casio but not good for owner. Have only had watch for short while but worn everyday. its comfortable to wear and robust.I give the watch 7/10. It would be more if the band was replaceable with a standard watch band.fent01.

great quality for price!

rnman, Amazon
10 November 2012
  • Summary: This one has the best durable band that Ive found on a watch. The band doesnt smell either. the plastic bands break within the year and are expensive to replace. I like the time zone function and the compass even though you have to calibrate alot!. the temp works better when it is off your wrist but it is not accurate to room temp, off a couple of degrees. I still like the functions. this one is smaller than some other companies but it has a large face.

Actually 4.5 stars!

Seattleite, Amazon
13 October 2012
  • Summary: I've had the watch for a month so I wait for about 6 months to see how something holds up before I give a 5-star rating. Otherwise, I think it's a great watch. The day/date/time display is quite legible for me, and the night light is very good, especially in a dark tent(the 1-second duration per touch is not a problem for me)!

Worth the price

Cowsbell, Bestbuy
15 February 2012
  • Summary: Have been wearing this watch for three weeks and am satisfied. While I would prefer a smaller unit with stainless steel rather than the large watches...
  • Pros: large digital characters, accuracy of compass
  • Cons: only in black body, black vinyl band, too wide

Seems to be asadvertised

StoryTeller "Teller", Amazon
16 January 2012
  • Summary: Got 1 for me and 1 each for 2 sons. All 3 seem to be as advertised. No problems. Compass, once calibrated, does a good job. Not really a substitute for a real compass but is not off by more than about 5 degrees. Again, not an acceptable substitute for a real compass if you need complete accuracy, but it's accuracy is still pretty good. The temp function obviously will not tell you air temp while attached to your arm so take it off for a few minutes.

Good value for the price

Endriago, amazon.com

  • Summary: The watch is OK for the price tag. It will give you what you expect of a watch of this price and class: precise time keeping, fairly accurate compass readings for occasional outdoor activities and basic stopwatch functions, plus alarm. I recommend this watch for everyday use, I work in a machine shop so it makes no sense for me buying an expensive watch when it can be virtually destroyed/scratched/damaged at any time.

Best affordable compass watch

Etched in Pixels, Amazon
23 June 2011
  • Summary: I was looking for a waterproof sports watch with compass and stopwatch/timer function in the $50-80 range. For a guy I guess I have skinny wrists, so the Timex watches like #T49686 appealed to me for their smaller size and lesser weight. However my last Timex Expedition (similar plastic design to their digital compass watches) broke quite easily, proving their inferior durability. The Casio more than justifies the miniscule size/weight difference.
