Summary: I like the watch overall, but I bought it because of the tide function. When I called customer support (1800 435-7732 x5) they were very nice, but they told me that you have to reset the first high tide of every day that you want to check the tide. Basically, I'll need a tide chart to use their tide function. I have reset the first high tide, and the tide function is usually within 1 to 2 hours behind the actual tide..
Summary: This particular model of Casio Pathfinder is a very good and reliable model. It has the latest functions available. Where I had trouble was in the watchband itself. After fitting it to my wrist, something I have successfuly done with several other watches, this one fails. The pins are very flimsy, and bend. The pins on the band can fall out while wearing the watch.
Summary: THE GOOD: 1) VERY ACCURATE COMPASS 2) ACCURATE TEMPERATURE BUT SOMETIMES IT NEEDS MORE THAN 10 MINUTES TO GET THE ACCURATE READING. AFTER YOU REMOVE IT FROM YOUR HAND 3) VERY NICE TITANIUM BAND (5/5) 4) VERY ACCURATE BAROMETER READING (5/5) THE BAD: 1) INACCURATE ALTIMETER (2/5) SINCE IT RELIES ON THE ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE. I GET A LOT OF FLUCTUATIONS IN THE READINGS EVEN IN THE SAME SPOT!!! 2) NOT AS TOUGH AS IT LOOKS, THE WATCH IS ACTUALLY VERY LIGHT.
Summary: This is my 4th Casio. The 1st was a battery driven Pathfinder....what a pain to replace all of those. The 2nd was a Solar Pathfinder.....nice, but gave it to my buddy....wasn't crazy about the look. The 3rd was an Atomic Solar which has been on my wrist since 2006.....it started getting a little squirly, dropping the date and time one morning.....that thing has been through a lot while deployed in Iraq....so time to retire it.
Summary: I have had 4 pathfinders. Over the course of 5 deployments to the Balkans, Iraq, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates the bands always take a beating secondary to low humidity and large amounts of dust. I also never took them off so they had to deal with iintermittent dampness from the shower.

Summary: Saying that this is a great watch, well... goes without saying. Casio products are top notch. So here are a few things you find you might find less than great, although they might fall under the "nitpicking" category. First, the pins in the band. I had to slightly bend mine to make them hold in place after removing and resetting them. It seems there was no tension built into the pins; they were solid and straight.
Summary: I saw those nice video reviews about this watch, before I brought on e on E-bay. I brought one for about $230.00. I'm alittle disappointed. Can you get a good value for the money these days? Seems not, though 200.00 isn't alot of money to spend on a watch like this? The Casio Path-finder 1500. It has a titaniun band, but the rest of the watch is Resin. find the Band scuffs readily.
Summary: This is a real chic magnet. Wont talk about how it is chic magnet. :) As it has a solar battery, it is better to wear outside the sleeve. It has good solar life. But, I prefer charging it all the time. It looks awesome. Real titanium colour. If it was in Steel colour, I would not have liked it so much. It is not glossy and can be worn for Party as well as for meetings. The watch is big but is there any loaded sports watch that is not big?
Summary: I've owned another Pathfinder, one that was solar only. This new one is a real step up. It has all the Pathfinder standard bells and whistles, and I like the metal bracelet. The arrangement of the knobs for compass, altimeter and barometer are very convenient for me, as I am left handed and wear the watch on my right wrist.
