Summary: I received this watch as a gift (6/2010) and immediately loved it. I spend a lot of time hiking, climbing, fishing, skiing and hunting. The buttons are large and easily accessible, the altimeter and compass are very handy. Eight months after receiving the watch I noticed the LOW battery warning started flashing. It would only charge to medium after setting it in the sun and then flash a LOW warning in an hour or so.
Summary: great, easy to use, however, two complaints: one, the temp and altitude is in celusius and meters, and there is no way to change it to frahraheight and feet. I know I misspell it. other then that, no problems with use, simple, out of the box and go.
Summary: I got this watch a few days ago and I loved it when I got it. This watch has a lot of great features like the compass so you know if your going the right way or not. This compass is accurate all the time and great too. Barometric pressure so you know if a storm is coming or want to know what your body temperature is or know what the altitude is. For me I live where the altitude is 4700' so the barometric pressure is 29.50 to 30.65 which is very useful for me.
Summary: I purchased this watch as a birthday gift for my 14 year old son. He spent 12 days at Philmont scout ranch hiking 80 miles through the mountains which really gave him a chance to test it in harsh conditions. The watch never missed a beat. His favorite feature is the graphing altimeter with the record feature. This gave him the opportunity to review the altitude changes at the end of each days hike. Also the thermometer was spot on with the actual temp.
Summary: I just bought this watch at Kohls. It was priced at 300.00 bucks but I bought it when it was %30 off and used two other %20 and %15 percent off coupons I received in the mail and paid 125.00 bucks. Man what a watch and what a deal. Kwakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, I love it when a plan comes together...
Summary: I bought this item for my boyfriend who is currently deployed in Afghanastan. Upon recieving this item he fell in love with it. He was so excited like a little child. He couldn't believe the manual was over 400 pages but it gives him something to do on the down time. He would recommend this item to anyone deployed and who loves to do outdoor type of activities.
Summary: How can you beat an outdoors/sports watch that has a solar-recharging battery and sets itself every night via the atomic clock signal? You can't, unless you get a fancier version of same. This is a pretty powerful self-contained package and I like my watches to be super-accurate (or why bother), so that auto-set is a great feature for me.
