Summary: I've had this watch for exactly one year and it works like a champ. I am far from a surfer, far from it, almost polar opposites, I am more of a geek, who can easily spend hours tucked away working on computers and the like (although I do like body surfing and boogie boarding :) Anyway, here are my pros and cons about this fine timepiece. PROS: -Both digital and analog, which is not really necessary, but cool nonetheless.
Summary: We have a favorite sandbar beach that we love to visit by boat. It is very convenient to reference the watch to check the tide. The hardest part is finding the setting for the tide for your area. I highly recommend this watch if you plan on tracking only one tide.
Summary: I also considered the Casio Men's AQW101-1ACF Active Dial Multi-Task Gear Sport Watch for its additional features but opted for the AQW100-1AV because of its slightly larger face. The face of the AQW100-1AV is still a little smaller than my 60 year old eyes would like but in lots of light I can make out the most of the info or with my reading glasses I see it all.
If you have a g-shock in mind, read this, because I bought it after returning a g-shock

Summary: I have been using this watch only for a couple weeks, but let me share my opinions. Positive sides: 1. It is a good looking watch (according to me, of course), when you consider its price. Any of your friends would envy this watch on your wrist! 2. Easy to use 3. Has a lot o features; moon - tile, chronometre, bla bla... 4. It is not "solar" or "10 years battery" or whatever, so you can change the battery whenever you what and use your watch!
Summary: My wife bought me this fantastic watch a little over three years ago and it is still going strong. There's hardly a scratch on the crystal which suggests it's good quality, bearing in mind the tortures I have put this watch through. I have travelled all over the Northern territory of Australia, South East Asia and New Zealand with this watch, and believe me when I say it has copped a beating.
Summary: Well, I do body boarding and I wanted a water resistant watch that was not terribly expensive. This is a cost effective timepiece given the functions and design. The durability of the watch for 200m is good for someone with an active lifestyle in the water. This is a simple watch that has a timer, stopwatch, 3 alarms, and illuminated hands for when you are reading the time in the dark.
