Perfect for the gym and hiking.

Summary: My old G-shock is a solar model that has stopped recharging itself after 4 years, so I'm at a loss as to what to do with that one. I hate to throw it out, but I feel stupid replacing the battery in a "solar-powered" watch-it seems kind of pointless. My other Casio is from the 90's, with tiny digits and that puny weak back light, but the thing won't die. So far this new G-7800 is perfect for the gym.
Summary: I did not buy mine on Amazon as they did not have the model I wanted, the all black with the black reverse face, G-7800B. I really like this watch. It is the G-Shock that Casio should have made for a long time. It has all the great functions a watch should have, looks great, is easy to read and feels just right on my wrist. I get comments on it regularly from other people. They really like it too. It has a nice classic look that goes with just about anything.
Summary: I love this watch. It's like the an updated version of the classic DW5600. It has huge bold letters that are readable date and also the day included with no useless junk to clutter up the screen. The only thing I wish is that the name G-Shock that is stamped into the steel would be in black or red so it wouldn't look so generic.
Summary: First let me list what rocks with this watch: 1. Most advanced TIMER features of all G-Shocks. Countdown to zero, Countdown to zero & auto-repeat, Countdown to zero and instantly begin counting up (this will tell you how far you've gone past the time limit) 2. 8 factory TIMER presets & 1 custom preset which you can set by Hr/Min/Sec (Yes, you can set the timer for 30, 10 or even 1 second) 3.
Really nice G7800...with my slight improvements...

Summary: The other review summed up this fine watch nicely, so I won't bother repeating all the good points about this grown-up G5600... :). I will add however, that I wanted my own personalized version.... with a regular positive display; a black bezel; and a tougher-looking more comfortable rubber band! So that's what I did, and I added some photos to show you how I set this watch up for my own taste and style.
Summary: Review of My new G7800: like a greatly improved 5600! I just received my G7800 (positive display, black, brushed stainless steel around the face) and I really like it. The digits are not annoying at all. I was afraid that the digits would be too 'tile like' but they are fine. They are bold enough to see at a glance. The time is perfectly placed right in the center of the watch!
Summary: Bought this watch for 40 pounds. Good price. Haven't tried it underwater yet. Looks quite nice especially the font. The DST for other cities in the world is better than my old casio because my old one calculates world time from my city without considering DST, while The DST mode for other cities can be turned on and off on this watch. Really useful for me because my home country doesn't use DST!
Summary: It has to be said, this is a brilliant watch. - First off - appearance. It has a chunky, rugged feel without being the size of a house side. The strap is comfortable to wear and sits easily on my wrist without any of the chafing I noticed with the larger Pathfinder watches. Useability - The display is very clear, easy to read and has the ability to display the month and day in easily recognisable formats ie having the month displayed as AUG instead of 08 - a useful...
Summary: There are two types of font to choose from for the top and bottom part of the display and various combinations of displaying the date. Also, the top can be further customized by entering your own text. Alarm options include: 4 alarms, setting the alarm for each day of the week individually, with or without snooze. Also, you can have flash (colour LEDs pulsating) on or off with the alarm going off. Practical world time is so useful when you travel.
