Summary: I have been wearing these Casio calculator watches for more than 30 years. Since they went to lithium batteries, the watches fail before the battery needs to be replaced. The watches usually last about 5 years, before one or more of the button wears out. Also, whenever there is a leap year, the watches can't be reset for leap year, and they end up with the wrong day of the week displayed! Other than that, I am very pleased with the watches.

Summary: What else do you need really ? Waterproof 7 year battery. No backlight on this model. Clock to second calibration with Two Time Zones, Calendar with day of week, Stopwatch, Alarm, Calculator, Light resin case ! ~$20 Rock it out like Marty McFly.
Excerpt: It has a tiny indicator too that shows when the batter is on L for low, M for medim, and H for high in terms of charge. Wearing it outside on a sunny day is allegedly enough for it to get the necessary charge to run a year. The way I figure, if I ever get shipwrecked or anything, I’ll always know the time and the date. This is a great watch for someone like me that does it casual every day. There are some dressier models as well for people that enjoy a more formal watch.
Excerpt: It does this once every night so that you know you always have the “correct” time. You can disable this feature if you need to have your watch set with your boss’ less accurate timepiece. The G-shock has all of the things that one would expect in a quality digital watch including: stop watch , day of week and date diplayed, and multiple alarms. It is water resistant to 200m (which is alot further than I ever want to go) and is designed to take a real beating.
