Summary: Dear Whirpool, Please look over these comments about this washer. It has LOTS of flaws. Long wash cycles, putting in the detergent first is a major NO NO for me, locking lid so you can't add more clothes, balancing, and too noisy for a machine in 2014.
Summary: Exactly what I want with a agitator before they don't make them anymore. It fills to the top with water and my cloths come out softer. Fabric softener goes in the middle of the agitator which is great no more blue ball. Whirlpool has always lasted a long time for me I won't change.
Summary: bought this same washer 2 yrs ago....if you get it buy the extended warranty for sure. first one we got had to be returned after a repairman checked it out. got another one and now it has only been 2 years and the main control panel is gone which will be over $100 plus labor to repair...
Summary: "This Top-Load Washer has received generally positive reviews. Customers were pleased by its affordable price-point, energy efficiency, and versatile controls. Detractors were quick to point out that the cycle times were longer and it needed more balancing oversight than higher-end machines.
Pros: Efficient, Affordable, Reliable Washer with many different modes available, agitator
Summary: "I've had this washer for quite some time and I've been liking it because its quiet and easy to use. I'm not a huge fan of doing my own clothing, but it has to get done and this washer has all the cycles I need.
Summary: This is a great choice for us "old folks" who don't want all the bells and whistles. I got rid of my Duet front loader and greatly prefer this. Adequate water to cover the clothes, you can pause it to allow things to soak, has knobs instead of "push pads" that always crack.
Excerpt: I researched all the top-loaders for quality & price, then got the Whirlpool 3.5 cubic-foot top-loader for a good price. It has 4 different wash cycles, load sizes & water temps; it cleans the clothes, is quiet & attractive in white. I'm a bachelor so I need something simple that works.
