Summary: Absolutely the worst washer I've ever used. Ever. The estimated times are a joke. It takes twice as long as it estimates and four times as long as a normal washer. And the clothes don't come clean!!! Horrible.
Summary: Three active kids in sports (with the youngest a boy that loves dirt), this washer has been nothing short of amazing. Our clothes comes out clean, virtually dry, and the cycles take much less time than our old machine. I'm not sure why the previous reviewer had so many issues with her machine (and I feel for her), but everything she said has not been an issue for me. One of the best features (to me, at least) is how much laundry I can do at once.
Summary: I like this washer, but it developed a problem within a few days of warranty expiration. Attempted to contact Whirlpool to find out how to schedule repair. The online scheduling system is broken/non responsive, no one is answering the telephone at 7 in the morning (presently on hold for more than 30 minutes), and no one is available for live chat (waiting 10 minutes on that). DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Summary: We had an old set of whirlpool front loaders, that were very small. I had been researching and waiting for a great sale, to buy new machines. We ended up with Whirlpool Duets because they're made in the USA and because of the reviews. I am SO HAPPY with them. The spin cycle is much quieter than my last washer, but you can hear it when in the same room with it. Doesn't shake or wobble or anything! I was amazed how much I can fit into a load now!
Summary: I did not select this washer, the builder provided it new 2.5 years ago. It's always been too noisy, but recently it sounds like a plane is taking off in our house during the spin cycle. My repair guy has diagnosed it as a bad rear bearing meaning the whole back half of the tub/inner tub would need to be replaced (expensive part + $300+ in labor). Whirlpool only has the 1 year standard warranty and does not do 5yr or 10yr on major parts like other makers.
