Piece of Junk

Bronc Eke, AJ Madison
27 April 2014
  • Summary: We have had this machine nearly 3 years. In that time it has had the inner and outer drum kit replaced (google it - thousands of failures). Whirlpool covered the drum once but not the second replacement. Now it needs a new drum kit and water pump. We used this machine 3 times a week and never abused it. I know other people who had the upper level Duet model and they said it was trash as well. Avoid.

  • Summary: I have had my duet for 3 years now and it is still running great ,do not suggest washing king comforters in it but twin and full washes great. it is quet some noises that you wonder at first until you get use to it and know that the noises are ok. but over all has been a wonderful addition in our family and we stacked them so they are great for small living spaces also.

Is easy to operate, and as long as you use the right kind and right amount of detergent it completes a cycle in a reasonable amount of time. My only complaint is that small articles - in my case a sock which has happened twice in maybe a dozen loads so far - can get trapped in the slot between the barrel and the door and will be soaking wet after the...

so happy so far

  • Summary: I read a lot of reviews and was very nervous about buying a Duet but went ahead after doing a lot of price comparrison. Purchased the washer for only $499 at the end of January 2011 and so far am very, very happy. I will get a tax rebate of $100 and already got back a $50 mfr. rebate making the actual cost only $349. It does not walk around the room as some reviews claimed. It is extremely quiet even in spin cycle.
