Summary: First tub broke in year 2 - was replaced after much hassle getting repairman there [and HH Gregg would not help contact nor follow up on my complaints; Nor would anyone give me a Whirlpool number - had to work thru the "warranty" company who used a service resource in Texas - no one would give out numbers or names of higher ups-be that as it may - and it was frustrating and time consuming] tub was eventually replaced and then broke within the next year.
Summary: I've owned one of these for 2 years. The tubs drain hose is directly above the circuit board that runs the washer. The hose cracked and leaked water directly on the circuit board causing it to blow. This was a $340 expense to repair which was about half its purchase price. My repairman said that he used to recommend these washers but doesn't anymore. He said he has seen this problem numerous times.
Summary: after just two years, the computer system died and the company doesn't want to help pay for the repairs...their reply nothing we can do.Last time a whirlpool product of any kind will be purchased by me.
Summary: I’ve had this washer for two weeks now. With two teenagers and a wife that thinks she needs to change clothes three times a day and they are all dirty we do a LOT of laundry. So far we are VERY pleased with the washer. The wash cycle takes longer than our old top loader but the HIGH speed spin more than makes up for it in the dry cycle with the matching dryer on automatic.
