Do NOT buy a Samsung

Busy Mom "Jill S", Amazon
22 March 2015
  • Summary: We have had this washer for 4 years. It cleaned clothes well and we sung its praises until recently. For the past couple months there has been a loud grinding sound in the spin cycle with heavier loads, however the cycle continued to spin and drain. In the past week the washer has stopped as it drained giving us the "nd" code = no draining. My husband called Samsung to investigate our warranty and get a repair referral.

HELP

Cassy Sandy, Amazon
23 February 2015
  • Summary: I have a Samsung Model WF419AAW/XAA 01 It was vibrating crazy during spin but seems to work okay but afraid if I use it will mess it up more. When you spin the tub you hear a sound of maybe a medal ball rolling. I also found a ball in the plastic tub I have under it. I am thinking from what I have read 1 of 3 things 1. Bearing? 2. VRT Ring which is attached to the Inner tube? 3.

Broke after 4 years.

Christian Robitaille, Amazon
27 December 2014
  • Summary: Smoke and a smell burnt rubber came out of the washer after the spin cycle. It ended up been an out of round drum that was rubbing on the door seal. It was cause by the spider shaft that broke. The washer is only 4 years old it will cost around $600 to fix. This is what we payed for.

You Lost Me At Goodbye

J. Chapin, Amazon
23 December 2014
  • Summary: Worked great for six years. Then the gasket burned up. Because the spider broke and the drum went out of round. I was told by the appliance repairman that most front-loading washing machines lifetime warranty their stainless-steel drums, so he was surprised that Samsung's is only three years. When I called "Executive Customer Service" (where you get denied by someone who's native language is English), I was told the warranty is one year.

Big Daddy Pain, Amazon
17 September 2014
  • Summary: Piece of junk! Like other reviews, it broke after 2 1/2 years of light use. Samsung reps are well trained to very politely say "NO". Electronic board went and the repair quote was $800+. Samsung does not stand behind their products and I will never by anything from them again. Complete joke with regard to service. Go elsewhere.

Don't buy a Samsung washer.

Frank L. Prickett, Amazon
10 September 2014
  • Summary: The washer is only four years old. It has worked ok but within the last 3 week it has started making horrible noises during the spin cycle. A repairman says the drum is "out of round." His estimate is $600+ to fix it.

Very poorly made

washaholic, AJ Madison
20 August 2014
  • Summary: Living with just my husband , my loads are not excessive or cumbersome . However, after 3 1/2 yrs, my tub went out of round, supposedly due to an unbalanced load. Cost to fix...est was $1000.00. This in such a short time. The drum is flimsy and not stainless steel as they lead us to believe. Never again!!

Machine looks nice and worked well for 3 plus yrs

K. Freese "coffee lover", Amazon
20 August 2014
  • Summary: Don't buy a Samsung! After 3 1/2 yrs, my tub also went out of round...same deal and same kind of estimate to fix. Machine looks nice and worked well for 3 plus yrs, but for the money we paid, didn't work long enough. And for those who thought they had a stainless steel tub like I did, you are mistaken. Put a magnet into the tub and see if it attaches...you will see. Shame on Samsung for using parts known to be faulty and sticking the buyers!!!

Avoid this machine!

drkathy, Amazon
19 August 2014
  • Summary: We purchased this model in February 2010; the extended warranty expired in February 2014. In the past three weeks, this machine has stopped mid cycle. A repair person from A@E has spent at least 4-5 hours trying to repair it. The Start/Stop button assembly is broken and Samsung no longer makes this part! I can "jiggle" it around enough to start the machine which then stops completely and signals OFF after about ten minutes.
