Summary: I have had this washer about eighteen months, and I'm so frustrated with it, I finally have to vent. Pro: it plays this cute little tune when finishing a cycle. Cons: -- it gets mold in the gaskets. Yes, I've taken all the steps I can to prevent this, but none have worked well. -- it doesn't get the clothes clean. In other words, it doesn't perform the one, single, blasted job it was made to do.
Summary: This is our second front loader. It replaced a larger-capacity Kenmore washer. We bought this Samsung washer from a local retailer in late January, 2012. It is not very good at cleaning clothes... In fact, we sometimes have removed clothes only to find some were completely dry and uncleaned! You have to load this washer extremely lightly, to the point it holds less clothes than a standard top-loading washer.
Summary: So far (about 1yr) I have not had any issues described by others. BUT the washer doesn't clean my clothes. My gym clothes are smelly after washing-drying and my normal clothes would smell if I sweat even a slight bit in them. The only solution I found so far is to add a bucket of water in wash and rise cycle, that's on top of extra rinse mode I use. The washer just doesn't use enough water to clean the clothes, if you watch the washer in action.
Summary: My washer is less than a year old. The wording near the water temperature labels have rubbed off with the slightest touch. I can see where the spin label will start to disappear too. Really Samsung? Such an inconvenience to call 800 number to report this...but if not I ruin my clothes! I never experienced this problem with my Kenmore washer.
Summary: I never had a frontload washer and after doing some web research before buying I became concerned about mold. After spending several days researching washer brands it seemed that Samsung got the best reviews and had fewer mold complaints than other brands that I would have thought of first for major appliances. Anyway, after 2.5 years of use in Michigan climate, sitting in a basement (walkout basement), with no air conditioning my WF210 washer has had zero mold problems.
Summary: The service for this washer leaves the consumer extremely frustrated. Called for service last week -told the representative exactly the problem had to wait a week for the scheduled service. The technician arrived was here 10 minutes and did not have the part ,neither was it in stock and had to be ordered and will come back in a week . I am now required to take another day off from work and spend money at the laundromat for a product that was to make my life easier.
Summary: I own one of these Samsung front loaders and it quit working right after the warranty ended. So far they've replaced temperature sensor, main control board, now the wiring harness is on backorder. It's been about 6 weeks now, I do have an extended warranty; these will keep technicians employed. Pros: Worked great while it did run, kind of noisy though. If you enjoy laundrymats this is your machine!
Summary: I bought this washer in December 2010. It now powers off every time it starts a spin cycle. Mind you, the tub does spin just fine, e.g., during the "agitation" stage. But when it *would* start a higher-speed spin, it just powers dead off with no warning and no error codes. When it did work, it worked well enough; it cleaned clothes.
Summary: I liked how this washer operates, but the one thing that bothered me was how little water it used! It barely soaked the clothes while washing, there's no puddle of water in the drum to splash, no suds although I maxed out the HE soap. I don't care how water efficient it is, you can't wash clothes just by soaking them. Rinse cycle had a tiny puddle of water. Anyhow I tried it for a few months and notice my clothes began to be stiff.
Summary: We purchased this washer with a matching dryer to replace my broken-beyond-repair dryer, hoping that the washer would be a serious upgrade over my old washer. If I had to do it over, I would have kept the old washer, even though it used more water. The only positive I can offer with enthusiasm is that is does apparently use less water. It does appear to clean the laundry as well as my old washer.
