Meh.

B, Amazon
9 October 2014
  • Summary: One star for appearance. One star for functionality when actually working. I thought I would love this product. Less than 18 months later its already displaying error code E3 (motor). Call Samsung, and now I have a tech coming out tomorrow that I have to pay just to look at it.

BUYER BEWARE

sheri, Amazon
4 May 2014
  • Summary: This was my 2nd Samsung washing machine in 2 years. The first was a front loader and the 2nd was this one. Although it comes highly recommended in Consumer Reports, neither washing machine got the clothes cleaned and always left a weird, unclean smell to them.

Our Similar SAMSUNG WA 400 Failed at 1.5 years. Drain Pump Broke Off mid-cycle...

Joe From Kokomo "Byte Me", Amazon
28 April 2014
  • Summary: There is a known issue with certain models of SAMSUNG washers, models WA400 (mine), WA422, & WA456s made in 2nd and 3rd qtr, 2012. I learned from Lowes that 155,000 washers were affected and that there was an "internal recall" of store-owned stock, but no public recall.

Don't Waste your Money

Ena C. Rojas "Roro", Amazon
14 February 2014
  • Summary: This washer broke a month after the warrantee expired and continues to break. It is too expensive to be causing these issues so early in its life. Piece of junk.

Not reliable

WIKat1, Amazon
27 January 2014
  • Summary: I have waited a while to see how this washer performs over the long term. It doesn't. At 16 months of use the sensor and the motor failed. The numbers on the timer jumped round, never completing the full cycle and the machine stopped running the spin cycle, giving a 3E error code.

not a good machine

Robin Currie, Amazon
23 January 2014
  • Summary: Machine would give occasional "codes" for motor trouble from the very start. The Manual said to just hit start and it should be fine. At 15 months (3 months out of warranty) I was getting motor trouble codes.

Buyer Beware

Midwest Gal, Amazon
12 December 2013
  • Summary: We bought this machine in November 2012. The drum cracked a year later and a technician came out weeks later to fix it. They were all backed up and couldn't get here for quite some time. Now, 13 months later, something else broke and there is water all over our floor.

STOP! DON'T BUY. BROKE AFTER 9 MONTHS

Jonathan Fernandez, Amazon
4 June 2013
  • Summary: Unfortunately I went out on a limb and bought this product from samsung and it broke in the first year. Samsung's customer service is horrendous to say the least. Just save yourself the time and money and get something else.
