Summary: Purchased July 6, 2013, was told this was a flawless washer to replace my not so flawless GE front loader that was only 6 years old. Now I'm singing praises for the GE. Of course, it's three months past the warranty and the pump housing completely ripped away from the machine, flooding my floors. You can't find the part because apparently the world has bought it due to the fact that the original part fails on every washer.
Summary: I had the same issue with this machine with the drain pump cracking. Found the repair kit online part number DC-01877B. My machine was manufactured before Dec. 2012 and the pump now mounts to the base instead of upside down on the tub. It fit perfectly with no issues and I had it installed within a couple of hours. Ran a load with everything still open and no issues at all.
Total piece of garbage. The drain pump has been replaced twice on ...

Summary: Total piece of garbage. The drain pump has been replaced twice on my machine, and it still an issue. Look forward to this machine flooding your house at least once. Also, Samsung support is the definition of unhelpful. The first time the piece had to be replaced they ordered the wrong part, the repair service was 4 hours late, and it broke 4 months later. Please don't waste your money like I did.
Summary: I have a 1.5 year old Samsung washing machine which I REALLY dislike. Let me discuss why, maybe you can save yourself a lot of money and frustration. There are two general categories why I so dislike this model, some of which are problems with High Efficiency, some of which is a problem with poor design. I?m sure that some will read this and point out everything I am doing wrong, but think about this? WHY did I not have theses problems with my 50 year old Maytag?
Disregard the other reviews on other websites, they are wrong. DO NOT BUY!!!

Summary: STAY AWAY!!! Just as everyone else has posted I have the exact same issue with my washing machine where the housing broke and damaged the pump. Now after three failed attempts to get the correct part I have found that the replacement kit (which is about $130-140) does not fit my washing machine because it was made prior to Dec 2012. I have only had this machine for approximately 1 1/2 years.
Summary: The only way to judge an item is to own it for a while. People love their new appliances and love to talk about how wonderful they are, but do they love them after a year? 1-1/2 years? I purchased this Samsung washing machine in November of 2012. In June of 2014, the pump cover broke, flooded my utility room, and I paid to fix all of that. Two weeks later, an error message appeared, indicating that the temperature sensor was malfunctioning. Another service call.
Summary: This machine has been a nightmare. What a waste of water! It will refill and dump over and over trying to balance. I even have an extended warranty and techs have come out and told us there is nothing they can do...What a joke. What good is the warranty if it can't even be fixed.
Don't buy this washer! Broken discharge pump bracket after 17 months of use.

Summary: We purchased this washer in Feb 2013 and this weekend the plastic bracket supporting the discharge pump broke and flooded our bathroom/laundry area. Samsung is aware of this design flaw however because the warranty is only good for 12 months they will not replace the part but will sell us a "kit" to fix it ourselves for $145 (a repairman would cost at least $300 so we were going to do it ourselves).
Summary: This worked well for the first 9 months. Then it started making a grinding sound when the wash would start and the clothes were not clean. Had maintenance come out, said it was the gears and clutch. Replaced these. Took techinician 4 hours! When he left, the sound was worse and the clothes were NOT clean. Came out 3rd time, replace clutch again! Then couldn't fix, didn't know if it was the tub, the tube holder, etc... have 2 huge boxes of parts.
