After 2 months mother board had to be replaced than the motor went 6months later than the fill pump had to be replaced now after 18 months the drain pump is broken. Now it's in the bed of my truck on the way to the scrap yard. The only good thing is I only paid $500 and samsung had to pay well over $1,000. to fix it instead of replacing it now I will go back to a Maytag
I find that I have to run the extra rinse to get all the detergent out of the clothes. 13 months after we bought it the infamous broken pull housing occurred. Really? Washers last years if not decades.
We bought this machine last august,we use the factury recommended high energy cleaning deturgents. This machine does not get our clothes clean. We are not new at this,as we have raised 5 kids, had Whirlpool and Maytag washers over our more than 50 years marriage. Never had we had a washer that performed so poorly. The reason we chose Samsng is because our repairman said whirlpool and Maytag are no longer the quality machines they once were. Also we are very satisified with the 2 Samesung TV sets we own. The worst washer and dryer ever! I was going to buy a Maytag like my sisters but the guy at Lowes said that if it were him, he'd buy this one (a couple hundred dollars less.) I purchased Aug 13, 2012. By October 13, 2013, I had water all over the floor in the back. Apparently, from what I am reading, this is a common (and known) problem. The hose that connects the drum to the wall (inside) had gotten a hole in it. I called Lowes (since I had the extended warranty. A repairman came out and "fixed" that hose but I have read of people who have this problem at least 3 to 4 times. I called Samsung and customer service was so nice! They told me to get an estimate for the damages to my home and the clothes that the washer has destroyed (it puts … little holes in towels, blankets, socks, etc which then become monstrous holes...another known and common problem.) Finally, after submitting the claim, 2 weeks later, I got acknowledgement that they got the claim. It would be another 3 to 5 days if it didn't go to their insurance company or 7 to 14 (I was originally told 7 to 10), if it did have to go to their insurance company. Last week, I called again and it did, indeed, have to go to their insurance company but they don't know who the insurance company is or have any contact information for them. They have to wait until the insurance company contacts me or them! Meanwhile, it's December 3 (almost 2 months) and my laundry room is taped off with plastic since it's exposed to the opening underneath while we await approval! I most likely will have to run this on my homeowners (who has indicated they will go after this from Samsung since they have already paid out on this problem so many times) and force Lowes to replace it with the Maytag I originally wanted! DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG WASHER OR DRYER (SENSOR ON DRYER'S NEVER WORKED SO I HAVE TO USE IT ON TIMER OR CLOTHES DON'T GET DRY AND MILDEW). This is not the only model that has had this problem! (And by the way, now I realize how "NOT CLEAN" my clothes were getting since I am using the laundromat and my sisters washer. They smell so clean and fresh! Unlike my SAMSUNG ever did!
