Summary: This has been a lemon since I bought it. Just my husband and me and the machine is 5 years old and now broken beyond repair. They told me they would have to send it to CA for repair and it would take 3 to 6 weeks and at least a thousand dollars!! The drum has never worked right, and drain problems to no end. I thought if I bought the best of the best I wouldn't have problems, boy was I wrong. The repairman has been to my house so many times he knows my animals.
Summary: Ten years ago my husband and I built a new home and decided to purchase the best quality appliances that we could and have them built in by the cabinet maker. We decided on Miele as was recommended by the retailer, and in particular was the microwave (M65EG)that was installed complete with the surrounding framework. It is an outright lemon.
Summary: We purchased a Miele Washer (W4800) and Dryer (T9800) almost 5 years ago believing the quality would be consistent with their price tags. WOW, were we dead wrong! In the past 6 months the washing machine's detergent dispenser drawer was replaced for the third time. During this same 6 month period the dryer broke 2 belts, caused by a poorly designed drum seal which was also replaced.
Summary: I approached my purchase of this machine with a little trepidation but I have been pleasantly surprised how happy I am with this machine. I would advise that this machine is not for everyone, if you are looking for a SUV sized machine that can handle laundry loads that require a forklift this probably is not your machine. Our requirements were smaller, soon there will just be two of us most of the time and we wanted to conserve water, a precious commodity in these parts.
Summary: In my familiy, we are the third generation of Miele customers. Right now we got a Miele W5873 WPS Edition 111. The first Miele washing machine was sold by my grandmother in good condition after almost 20 years of work for a new one. After 13 years of service and my grandmothers death this machine is now working at my aunt. Since 6 years. My mother sold her Miele after 18 years. Working. She wanted a new machine with all of its new possibilities.
Summary: I don't have this model, I have a W1926. After reading that Miele washers last for years I purchased a one even though they are more than twice the expense of other brands. When they need repair, and they will need repair because they are designed to fail, parts are extremely expensive. So for the privilege of paying more you get to spend even more to repair them. After 10 years, if I choose to repair the machine again, it will have cost $550.
Summary: I guess the recent for the negative reviews for the Miele W3033 washing machine is that everybody else has no trouble and therefore does not leave feedback. I bought this washing machine 6 years ago and have not had any problems. Consequently I bought all Miele appliances for my kitchen and love all of them. The moldy smell that one reviewer refers to occurs when people close the door after washing.
Summary: This is the worst washer and dryer we've ever owned. Save your money and get a good Kenmore or other name brand. The washer can't be paused effectively, meaning you have to start over, more detergent, etc. The Washer also has a rubber ring around the inside of the door that is IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN! IT'S JUST GROSS! The salesman actually warned us about how difficult it is to clean. The dryer leaves clothes damp, even on "Turbo" setting....
Summary: I've had this series washer for 4 years now and have had nothing but trouble with it. The washer constantly won't spin loads of clothes leaving me spending hours trying to pull water soaked clothes and towels out and refilling the machine to then stand by and play with the spin cycle to see if I can get this piece of crap to spin water out of the load.
Summary: We purchased this, and the matching 8013 dryer for a major remodel of our smallish Nob Hill Condominium. A locally-owned dealer recommended this as the very best compact, ventless system available. He has been 100% correct. The outfit is truly easy to use, with perfect results every time. The 3033 requires less than 2 TBSP of HE detergent, and NO bleach-even for men's briefs. Wash time is typically 1hr 15 min; drying is 75 minutes (hint: use "mostly dry" setting).
