Summary: I hate this washing machine. I have quite capably been doing laundry with a variety of machines for the past 40 years. This is the worst machine I have ever used. Did I say ever? The clothes do not get clean, it is ridiculous trying to build a ring of clothing around the inside of the machine when loading the wash and there is no way to do a short cycle. It takes 55 minutes to do one load of laundry!!!!
Summary: My Maytag washer failed in less than 2 years. Oh, by the way, it's Whirlpool. You only thought you bought the Maytag and the repairman who has nothing to do! Obviously the sensor is gone and it leaves water in the bottom and soaking wet clothes. Also a rip in almost brand new sheet. Other reviews read the same. Shame on this company (whoever they are) for putting out such a shoddy product. We will not bother to repair it as reviews indicate it is a continuous failure.
Summary: Wow, this thing has a lot of terrible reviews... Anyway, here's my take on it so far. I've only used it a handful of times, so hopefully I'll update my review after I've had it for a few years. 1. Some people have complained about noise. Okay, it's a little noisy, but it's a washing machine. I don't think I've heard a quiet top loader in my life. Front loaders can be quiet, but those machines work differently. 2.
Summary: Our last washing machine lasted over 15 years. This one is about 2 years old. It is crap. It no longer will fully spin and leave the clothes drenched. It will not spin even if we put it in other modes. Apparently the computers go bad after awhile and that's probably what the issue is. As it'll also unlock. Basically, I have to put sopping wet clothes into the dry to dry them because this crap will not spin.
Summary: This is one of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made. It constantly leaves white spots on dark clothes. I have exactly followed the directions and I have even changed laundry detergent. Nothing worked. Any HE water saving feature is negated by having to rewash the clothes. The lid lock feature is a pain and does not seem well thought out. It does a good job of spinning the water out of the laundry. That is about the only good thing I can say.
