Excerpt: Let me first tell you this isn't a "fresh out of the box" review, we have owned this washer for 3 years. I understand regular maintenance, but this machine needs far to much attention. After about a year it would only preform the "quick wash" cycle it allows maybe two or three towels...
Excerpt: Bought this washer March 1, 2011. Never been happy with it. It has set cycles and does not let you just spin out clothes or change a cycle once started. Clothes do not spin out very well, very wet.
Excerpt: I bought this machine in 2012. A year and 9 mos. in - after the warranty period - the water pump broke. We bought an extended warranty for approx. $300 and had the part replaced. One year later, the rubber gasket is somehow torn. I would never by a machine like this again.
Excerpt: Once again, this machine is incredibly frustrating because it has no stand alone spin cycle and unless you are washing on normal cycle it doesn't spin the water out of your drip dry clothing. Nice and compact with washer/dryer combo.
Don't buy from Home Depot or use Platinum Factory Service

Excerpt: I want to recommend that no one buy an appliance from this Home Depot. My landlord bought a brand new washer that has not worked since day one. Within 2 days of getting it delivered, this home depot was notified there was a problem.
Excerpt: I bought this product about 2 years ago, and it don't really clean my clothes. The underarm of all my shirts still has deodorant residue and still smells after drying them. I though before that it was the detergent and I changed detergent 3 times, but still same results.
Excerpt: I have owned this machine for 3 years now. I am also on the 3rd front door seal. When the seal wears (and it wears out quickly) it will tear clothes like no other machine I have ever used. I expected more from a Maytag. I know this will be the last front load I ever own.
