Summary: I bought a 24 in unit in 2011 and it has been serviced three (3) times! It is a very loud unit as well, scaring my dogs to death. I also own a bosch small 24 inch unit at my rental, and it has also had a terrible repair record. Perhaps they just haven't perfected the technology in these small units? And word to the wise on stackable units: be aware if you stack the unit, when they come to repair it the charge you an extra $78 to unstack it.
Excerpt: Washer has an inherant electrical problem. I can say this after having the same experience with 2 different Maytag Washers. There is also a problem with service as the manufacturer was reluctant to send a repairman to look at and repair machine. Parts had to be ordered for both machines and the repairman would not guarantee the repair would be the fix.
Summary: Not many washers will fit into the space I have- was very excited to find this. But so far I can't use the washing machine. It is so unbalanced it took a chunk out of my drywall and walked half way into the room. And yes, I tried it with several loads of different sizes, all with the same result. It sounded like someone was kicking in my back door.
Summary: "I like the washer but had a lot of problems with rocking and walking, even after making sure it was level. I have a dryer on top. Fixed rocking by wedging top of dryer to shelf, which was above, with a block of carpet covered wood.
Pros: The washer, if standing alone on the floor without the dryer on top, seemed to be steadier.
