Summary: Works great but mold issue after 2 years. I've used all of the washing machine cleaning products and have always kept the door open, but still have an issue. Maytag customer service said there is not current recall and call for service. It is my problem...
Summary: I purchased this washer in 2007, and 5 years later it is going to cost me more to fix the broken motor than it would be to buy a new washer. I went on Craigslist, and I'm purchasing a scratch & dent stacked washer/dryer instead (for 1/3 the price of what this washer alone cost).
Summary: Compared to the other brands of this size, both the W&D have been great . . . run quietly, have a musical chime instead of an annoying buzzer, lots of options, two piece instead of one bulky one.
Summary: I've owned this washer and matching dryer for 3 years. Small, light loads often cause the washing machine to lock up as if the sensor doesn't know anything is in it, and large loads won't dry completely by the time the dryer cycle ends.
Summary: My door has come off 6 times in as many months. The door came off twice before it was a year old. The fabric softner dispenser leaks. The softner has eaten away the paint where it drips. Poor quality paint, if the softner destroys it. Now it has rusted where there is no paint.
Summary: The washer has been OK for me except for one feature - it has a pipe connected to the top of the clothes barrel, and sometimes when it is spinning, water comes out the top, through this pipe, and then directly down the back of the washer. This is BY DESIGN.
Summary: This product is a dream to use, has a large capacity and really does the job. It is quiet and fast and has most of the features of a large machine while fitting snugly under the counter. Best of all it runs off of a standard wall outlet.
