I have found some of the same issues as other reviewers. Frequently out of balance and was surprised to learn how many things you couldn't actually wash in it. I was not the original purchaser of my machine, it came in my house when I bought it but know that the machine was very new. 3 months into living here the washer has displayed the E6 error code, requires a new sensor and clutch but since I am not the original purchaser LG has informed me that the warranty no longer applies. In my opinion, a company should stand behind their product, especially seeing how much more expensive it is to purchase. It's cheaper for me to go buy a new washer that likely won't crap out after a year than it is for me to fix this supposed top of the line washer. Thanks for nothing, LG.

There are two major problems with the design of this washer.
1 - The water level is always too low. The water level never makes it even to the top of the clothes. Since it determines water level by weight of clothes I remedy this by letting it partially fill, stopping, and then restarting. With the additional weight of the water it will fill higher.
2 - Light weight long sleeve tops, and even jeans will become extremely tangled and tied into knots. I'm never really sure that the clothes have been cleaned as the knots are so tight.

Purchased this washer in June 2013 (Corpus Christi, TX). It coded E6 on January 27, 2014. According to the manual: "Unplug from wall and call for service." Great, high end washer peeters out in 6 months. Repairman came by today (1/29/14), looked at the washer, called LG and was told he needed three parts. All LG parts have to be ordered and will take 7-10 business days. WHAT A SHAME!! Aside from that, the washer was getting the job done. Just have to abide by the clothing wash tags, use the right detergent and select the right cycle. However, 6 months of regular use and three major parts are needed. BUMMER!!!

This product had potential. U think many buyers are blinded by its neat design and ok cleaning aboties. However.......

Like another poster the water level sensing is horrible. It fills far to high and if you pause and restart it will 9 times out of ten fill nearly to the top on even an extremely smalllll load. Further the settings on temp is horrible. In more times than not warm is cold hot is sometimes warm bit cold is always cold. Terrible feature controls.

If you are looking for an economical washer to save energy forget this washer it uses a boat load of water and the lack of really being able to select temp and wash modes is more of a catch to get the buyer. It is very inconsistent and uses a ton of water on small loads. The disc agitator has barelly enough fins to clean anything. The high spun speeds are great. The direct drive motor 10 year warranty is tops but you will spend more in water bills filling this tub.

Look on its not efficient at all.

Like I said most other reviewers were memorized on its clicks and lights but probably have no clue their settings g are not accurate and the water is being wasted!

Good luck of you buy this boat!

Water level always too low, poor washing agitation, can't choose water levels, agitation strength, temperature, etc.... It picks for you. Clothes not clean and not rinsed well, LONG wash cycles, can't wash anything treated, water proof, or water resistant, so now I have to go to the laundromat!! And it is always out of balance!!

LG won't allow this review on their site since they apparently allow negative reviews. They said it doesn't align with their posting guidelines although it breaks none of them.

I got this washer in late Nov. First one was filling 4" from top on most every load no matter what was in it- in the cotton normal, towels or bulky bedding. Maybe one load out of 10 only filled water just above the clothes. I can replicate this each time also by pausing the cotton cycle after it fills once. Then start again and it fills all the way up. So long story short- I have had three machines sent to me. Each with same issue. Repair man came out today to replace board and pressure sensor and that didn't fix it. So he is scratching head wondering whats up and calling his LG rep. One machine I can live with but now 3?? It now is filling up to inside the top white ring so well above the tub line and about 1-2" from flooding. I am very frustrated since everyone says this is a good machine. I can show in photos or video to prove this. If it is a bad batch the repairman says getting the new board and sensor from LG should have fixed this. Now I get clothes that float and just spin with no agitation and not washing. Been over a month with no resolution.
