Summary: With only 1 year this machine one day started a horrible noise and the top came off. I never heard of a washing machine coming apart in that way. It actually moved 45 degrees and hit the dryer machine. The drum spinned withouth control against everything. I would not recommend this machine and what is even worst is the LG customer service.
Summary: I researched washer reviews online and found many more negatives than positives on the latest so-called water saving technology in today's new washing machines. This top load washer seemed to have many more positive customer reviews and i took a chance. And after 9 months of use, 2 loads a day, i agree, it is wonderful. It has a huge capacity. Easy to use. Reasonable wash times. And a happy tune plays when it is done. Thank goodness I picked this one.
Summary: My wife and I debated whether to go front or top loader and decided on the LG top loader after a lot of reading. RIGHT DECISION! Quiet, well balanced, even with bulky loads. Extremely efficient. The best washer I have ever had and it even plays pleasant chime songs when finished rather than a nerve shattering buzzer. Excellent product.
Summary: A few reasons why this ranks as the worst washer I've ever used (will never buy an LG washer again): - Auto load sensing stretches clothes by turning the basket when load is dry, and unbalances the load - Doesn't stop the washer when the load is unbalanced - Unbalanced washer bounces around, damaging the floor underneath it - It's quiet, except when the washer is bouncing around the floor. Then it sounds like someone is in the laundry room with a jackhammer.
Summary: Just like LG says, it gets clothes clean without being harsh on them. We're amazed by the capacity, don't think we've ever had too much in it, and we have california king bed sheets and three small children so we generate plenty of laundry. We like the top loading because of the easy access and huge volume, plus the kids get a kick out of watching it work -- also nice to see how things are going and easy to add an item.
Summary: This washer has a warm, hot and extra hot selection choice. The water on warm is cold and on hot and extra hot is barely warm. Why have a warm choice if the water will only be cold??????????? Returning to the store-my 23 year old machine did a better job. When the button says WARM, I expect WARM, really it's ice cold.
Summary: I am really enjoying my new washer. It is very spacious without the center pole that usually gets clothes and heavy loads hung up. It will wash small and large loads equally well and has a sensor to gauge how much water is needed. The wave force is also very interesting to watch. I previously had a front load that always smelled moldy and this is far superior--an all around pleasure!!!
Summary: This is a great washer. It automatically adjusts to the amount of clothes to be washed so you don't need to wait until you have a full load. It tells you how many minutes it will take to finish based on the combination of selections. The controls are easy to read and use. My old washer used to leave some water in the bottom, which smelled. Also saw that as a concern on front-loading washers. Definitely not a problem on this washer.
Summary: I have called LG and they will give me a credit at the store i am so dissatisfied. Normal wash with hot water water temp is only 89 degrees. these means sheets, undies, socks, ect does not get washed in hot enough water to kill ecolli bacteria. Tried washing on sanitary cycle- Took more than 3 hours to wash 5 pairs of undies two mens tshirts and 3 washcloths! the worse is how tangled up clothes are feom the spin cycle.
