Summary: We are still having significant problems with our LG washer. The latest issue involves the troubled spin cycle particularly when washing items in the Towel Setting. While trying to wash just 3 bath towels along with several smaller items, our washer will become unbalanced during the spin cycle subsequently causing our machine to stop operating!
Summary: I bought this washer less than 3 yearsI have had trouble with it being unblance they had to come and fix it right after I got it , for the last year it is unblance on every load and now the latch to the lid is clicking. And it dose not wash blankets likee they said they wood. Also did not wash my clothes very good and can't even put a full load in then they don't get washed looking for a new washer now.
Summary: This washing machine works great for the first few months and then it goes downhill fast! Almost every load is UE or unbalanced. It leaves a grime on my clothes that I can't get rid of. I am a clean freak and have used the tub clean setting, washing machine cleaners, etc. Nothing helps. Also, my washing machine has started to rust and the paint has begun to peel where the bleach dispenser is located. No LG ever again.
Summary: We loved this washer at first, hence 2 stars, but now it is died and we need to replace it. Have had it less than 2 years and had 2 recalls fixed on it. Then it started giving UE error signs and would run through cycles several times and fill the drum up completely to try and balance out the load, even when it was a small one.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings
Summary: Purchased at Sears in 2012 and reported in 1st year that hot water selection would not dispense water above 98 degrees. After 1 1/2 years and 4 technicians, final determination is machine is working according to specs and will not dispense water above 98 degrees. I used this machine about 9 months just assuming it dispensed hot water until I interrupted wash cycle to add another item and found water only lukewarm.
Summary: After about 2 years, my wife and I notice some rust appear around where the bleach dispencer is. Looking closer, I notice that the paint is starting to bubble up in different areas of the washing machine. I was told that rust is not covered under warranty. Other than the rust, it runs good.
Summary: Purchased this washer over two years ago. Worked like it should but noticed it had a terrible odor frequently so ran the clean cycle frequently. It always got an "unbalanced" error when cleaning it and took constant monitoring and several tries to complete. Frequently got the “unbalanced” error when running loads of all sizes. Got a recall notice for a software update to fix the problem and after doing so, made it even worse.
Summary: Interesting that you do not see the LG reviews on their site that are on many other related to the recall and the effects on their washing machine. I wonder if mine will get posted. Our machine appeared to work fine before the recall but we did not run the real high speed rinse and we were quite careful with it. Since they "upgraded" the software, we now experience UE errors and the machine is constantly going out of balance and into infinite loops on the cycles.
