I hate this washing machine. It is the worst. It goes unbalanced in practically every load. I called LG to complain and they want to send someone out to look at it. I just want my money back. I would not recommend this machine for purchase at all.

had this machine since January 2012, it has yet to successfully wash a load of clothes. It gets unbalanced and refills, flooding our septic tank system. Two visits by techs replaced parts and control panel with no improvement. Another visit scheduled this week. If it doesn't get to working right we are going to have to replace it. Every repair person we spoke to admitted LG has a huge software problem with this machine. If you buy it, be sure to start calling the warranty people with the first sign of a problem.

    • think it would do a good job if out of balance problem is corrected
    • as is, much too costly to operate

I have had this washer just under a year and I am really disappointed. I was concerned about problems with front loading and wanted to upgrade from an traditional top load. I get the unbalanced error code at least half the time I use it. I find that I have to very careful in sorting the fabric weight because the balancing system is really sensitive. If it doesn't balance the machine keeps adding water and trying to rebalance so I am certainly not saving water and I am very frustrated. I typically do laundry once a week. It won't wash a small load because I get the unbalance error so if I have one or 2 odd things I am out of luck. I have problems almost every time I wash a load of socks because if I put anything else in (say, a white T-shirt) it doesn't balance and every white sock in my house (me, 2 boys, and hubby) doesn't fill it up enough so then the load is too small. I will say that when it works, it's great. The clothes come out clean and I can put in a whole comforter without problem. If I didn't have constant issues with the balancing system I would really like it.

    • Lots of features
    • frequent load balance errors

I've had this machine for a couple of months. I'm interested in saving water, time and detergent/bleach (while getting clean and fresh clothing); I was told that this would be the machine for me. I have not been able to do any of these. This is the worse machine I have ever purchased. Without soaking, scrubbing with a brush or by hand, adding extra bleach or washing two or three times I cannot get my clothing clean. If I open the machine during a cycle (for less than a minute to look in not to add any pieces) more water is automatically added. I have had water up to the top of the drum for a very small load. The lack of agitation seems to mean a longer period of time of light weight "swishing" causing a single small load to take over an hour. The machine movement is the same no matter what size load - it just takes longer based on size. The spin cycle leaves my clothing "pulled" - overly. I have to remove debris from the bottom of the tub after every wash (I've even used my vacuum) and then hope the dryer will filter any the washer was not able to get off my clothing. I have tried every combination of cycles without success. I'm giving a rating of one because the buttons work when I push them and the tub will fill and empty. Anyone giving a rating of ten may be interested in purchasing mine at a greatly reduced price. I'll take the money and purchase a cheaper, much better brand machine.

Love the washer only drawback is that this 5 ft 2 in girl needs a ladder to get the clothes on the bottom. Have some sore ribs after doing laundry.

    • Fast, large and awesome.
